Anyone watching Your Honor with Bryan Cranston?

It’s a travesty if you aren’t because this is some good TV, man.

Saw the first season but haven’t renewed ShowTime yet. In between waiting out Paramount +’s (which I have) conversion to “Paramount + Showtime” or just outright renewing Showtime.

Did you finish the series? If not have you reached season two?

EDIT: I had to get it (ShowTime) anyway as I was alerted about the Tszyu vs Harrison fight tonight (via OS Boxing Forum). Probably would have only saved pennies with the Paramount+/ShowTime combo.

Other than some of the main characters being gay (which is consistent with the games FWIW), I have no idea how TLOU can be considered a "woke" show lol.

Shrinking on Apple plus has been really good. Stars Jason Seagle and Harrison Ford. They are psychologists who themselves are going through a bunch of ****. Harrison plays the Perfect old grumpy man.

It’s honestly ridiculous. The show is awesome.

Whether it is considered woke or not, how it was decided to tell Bill's story in the show can be construed as promoting awareness, but it achieved so much in establishing a show that wanted to tell a great story.

Bill and Frank's relationship in the game was more of an allusion. If one hadn't found Frank's note, one wouldn't have gotten any more of "backstory" than what Bill mentioned briefly. The brilliance of the show's version was interjecting the humanized essence of what the apocalypse destroyed: community and genuine human interaction...human affection, relationship.

The show had to sacrifice enjoyable game features that involved Bill: His hilarious banter with Ellie and his maniacal and ingenious energy that was more focused on his elaborate systems of survival than a relationship.

The show produced a genuine episode that anchored your heart to this story. What it accomplished was the establishment of and the commitment to telling a strong story.

I’m on Season 2 right now.

Been watching each episode as it’s been released. Next week is the season finale.

I think they burned 2 on the premiere.

^ This is correct, and that was absolutely the right decision to make.

I am interested how Season 2 will be produced, though. TLOU Part II is a much longer game, and I don't see how to chop up the narrative into only ten episodes. Either it will be a longer season or it will be two seasons in length. If they decide to stick with that game's through line, I am genuinely curious as to how they decide to tell its narrative and how they might shake things up as well.

I think TLOU has more than two more seasons left in the tank.

Oh, of course. I'm just saying that if they follow the games I don't know if the second game will be all of Season 2 or if they make it two seasons long. Also as they plan on making a third game, I'm guessing the show will follow with that.

Perhaps there comes a time where the show is ahead of the games and they pull a GOT and do their own thing. They won't do that for Season 3, though. That will either be part of the second game or the upcoming third game.

I don’t know if they’ve fully confirmed but they’ve at least strongly hinted that it’s gonna take more than one season to do the 2nd game.

After the 2nd game it will be interesting. They’ve said they don’t want to go ahead of the games but obviously that could change with the shows popularity. We still don’t know much about the multiplayer game and if that is something that could be adapted. A 3rd single player game sounds a long time away if it happens
