...not to be specific but the show would be jumping pretty far ahead if we're talking about what i think we are in the comic.

We should let the comic stuff go before a random comment shows up and spills the beans.

Yeah... Lets end the comic talk. If people want to continue just put it in a spoiler and make sure you say it's a comic spoiler.

So, after this most recent episode, is anyone else wondering if the chain of command in the group is gonna change? Right now it's Rick-Daryl-Glen in my eyes. But after this last episode, and seeing how Merle technically woulda been right in ambushing the Gov, and then their little skirmish, is it possible that Merle takes Glenn's spot as 3rd in command? He does have more experience, and as of late, he has become less erratic. Throw in the the loyalty he has to his brother, and the fact that Glen is gonna always have Maggie to worry about, I could see it happening. Just my two cents though.

PS, I don't know if this joke has been made yet, but I guess Rooker never did get that smell off his hand from Mallrats, so he had to cut off his hand lolol

I actually made a Walking Dead/Mallrats joke to Kev Smith on twitter and the fat b****** actually read it and favorited it.

However, the show needs to be deeper than that or they would only have about two seasons worth of material before it got stale.

Well, those zombies are infected with rage so they're different

To be honest though, I do enjoy those type of zombie movies, but I don't want my Walking Dead zombies learning to run or adapting or anything like that. Keep them dumb and slow the way zombies should be.
I love the 28 Days/Weeks movies, and allow me to clarify that when I say I am not big fan of those zombies its because I could not picture myself surviving as long as Rick has against those types lol. I would feel like I need the hammer of dawn against those 28 Days later zombies

The dumb, slow, walking dead style zombies gives me that feeling that survival can still be accomplished.

Regarding the fast zombie thing, didn't they start that way? I thought the first season they were pretty fast. At least compared to the ones wandering around now. I remember they even climbed a fence and used improvised tools.

I really like that they have progressed as time goes on. Season 1 they were still pretty fresh and threatening. Season 2 they were roaming in large groups, slowing down. Now they seem to be lessening in numbers and weaker.

Unless I am making this up and it is all in my head.

Good point. I never thought about it that way. As the months have gone on after the outbreak, the walkers are getting weaker from lack of food. Good catch.

And There are less walkers around, but at the same time, they're not in a major city anymore and more into the woods/small towns. So that can explain less zombies.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)

During one of the Talking Deads, they explained that they were getting skinnier actors as the show went on because of them being rotting flesh, they're going to begin to deteriorate over time.

So, while they we faster in the beginning, they were no where near being "fast" zombies as we've become accustomed to in movies like 28 Days Later.

They were trying to climb over fences in the first season - they may have actually climbed over a fence in the first season

Which was weird, because haven't they pretty much hinted at every other point in the show that walkers have no memories left?

I am still not convinced of the no memory thing. I always go back to Michonne's pets. When they were hiding in the woods watching the Governor at the helicopter, the pets were calm. They only started getting riled up towards the end of the scene, which was when Merle was coming up behind them. I have it in my head that the pets were attempting to be protective. Having no arms and no jaw took away their aggression and they didn't try to eat anyone, but at that point they were acting aggressively.
