We have Dish Network in my household and have had it for well over 10 years, back before they bought out Primestar Satellite.

We have no issues and the same can be said for other companies who have had disputes with TV Networks. There was a time when my friends had to come to my house to watch SoA, because their provider was having an issue with fox and getting FX. I'm sure they will work it out, eventually.

It's the just nature of the business and Dish isn't the only company to ever have an issue with a TV Network.

Its been a long time since they've had AMC though. Neither side seems to be backing down. Walking Dead premiered with 10.1 million viewers. Highest ever for that series. I don't see them backing down after that.

Every cable/satellite company deals with this, it's not just Dish.

I've had Dish since '08 and I have been pleased with the service, overall. The recent disputes have been annoying, but I'll stick with Dish for now. The CBS issue was resolved with no interruption and I'm hoping that Dish and AMC will be under more pressure to settle now that season 3 is airing.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)

I'm just going to type down thoughts as I watch this. This might become a regular occurance since I can't watch it live with the rest of you (Thanks, Dish Network!).

-It's almost like they're trying to appease the "THIS SHOW HAZ NO ACKSHUN!" people right out of the gate.

-New credits! They're creepier. I like it.

-How are they just now grasping the concept of silencers? How have we gone two full years without someone thinking of those?

-Hershel looks like a balding Colonel Sanders now.

-"That owl didn't exactly hit the spot." There's a sentence I hope I never utter in my life.

-I was ready to yell at them for being stupid and cutting a hole in the fence, but for once they actually fixed their stupidity immediately.

-OH MY GOD SOMEONE MISSED A SHOT FOR ONCE.

-Lori feels "good". Hopefully that's code for "A ****ING LOT LESS BITCHY".

-I don't know where Daryl found a poncho, but he needs to keep it forever.

-Humor! Laughing! I know it's the zombieocalpyse, and I understand how that situation would make everything super serious, but I would like to see a bit more of these people's personalities this year.

-And by that I mean give T-Dog a personality.

-Seriously... who is he? Other than just a random guy?

-If both mother and child survive that birth I will be shocked.

-Rick telling Lori off. Like a badass. And like every fan of this show's wanted to do for so long now.

-Walkers in riot gear... that's different.

-NEVER KILL MAGGIE. (Nobody even respond to this with some comic book spoiler in tags. I don't want any inkling of if it happens ever or when.)

-I don't know how much older than Carl Beth is, but she looks sufficiently old enough to make that incredibly weird and awkward.

-I enjoy knowing that two actors are making consistent money by just being armless zombies for Michonne every week.

-Lori realizing nobody likes her. Wonder if the writers are going to try to fix that this year. Lord knows there's a lot of work to be done there if they are truly going to fix her character.

-"You know who doesn't give a **** about that? This baby." Well played, Hershel.

-The tension in this last scene is FANTASTIC.

-They're really making up for lost time on this whole "Killing off main characters" thing lately.

            -HO-LEE **** THAT WAS GROSS.

-Aaand fin. Fantastic start. They really pumped the pacing of the show up for this episode. Wonder if it's going to stay that way or not.

This is not common at all in television. The Walking Dead is truly a ratings monster.

I think the most important thing for the series is that it retains nearly all of its viewers. Another thing that never happens in television. And then those viewers get their friends interested because they talk about it all the time.

Finally, those new viewers stay too! When will it stop?

The Walking Dead's ratings are like a zombie plague. Everyone is infected.

They can still rip your guts out with their hands like what happened to Dale. But I didn't think about them not being able to bite, good point

I apparently deleted the Episode from my DVR on accident so I can't go back and rewatch it, but I'm pretty sure they also had thick gloves on as well so they wouldn't be able to rip into them either.

Ah, didn't notice that but it would make sense if they were armored up

One thing that I was wondering and forgot about until I just rewatched that scene with them killing the armored zombies..

In the first season, maybe into the second as well.

Were they all not worried about the zombies blood and **** getting on them? Now all of a sudden they're getting splattered and **** with it, not giving a care in the world.

I think they've realized that the blood doesn't do anything to them. They're all already infected with the virus and they know that they won't turn until they die.

Yeah, they now know that they are already infected, so it doesn't matter if they get it on them. Just don't die.
