    American Horror Story Season 2

It's never too early to talk about season 2.

It looks like Jessica Lange has signed on for season 2. If she will return as Constance or another character isn't confirmed yet. According to other articles about season 2, I would assume a new character?

Murphy did, however, dish on his other show, "American Horror Story." The Season 2 casting shake-up means a houseful of new faces and characters, but will Jessica Lange -- who recently won a SAG Award for her role in the series -- be back for more? Lange told E! Online that she's "thinking about it," so what did Murphy say?
Will Lange be back in Season 2? "Yes."

Well as it stands now, Alex Breckinridge (young Moira) isn't coming back for season 2 at all.

      Bummer.

It would be interesting if they had two running stories because I would like to keep following Constance and the baby. I won't be upset if they don't because I loved season 1.

I thought I heard Lange wouldn't be Constance?

But I heard it on the radio which has a good propensity to be ill-informed.

I remember an article that was posted in the Season 1 thread that said some of the actors would return, but would play new characters. Similar to how the Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt would use the same actors to play different characters through different stories.

Same thing I read, but I know fans are still hoping that's not the case. The radio said it was confirmed by the producers that Lange wouldn't be Constance, but I can't find a source.

Not this fan, I couldn't be happier that the show is going this route. I might even go one further and say I hope this erupts a new trend of shows going with this annual anthology setup.

Television is already better than cinema. Overall, there are simply more quality television shows than there are movies.

Horror has sucked horribly in film for a very long time. If more creators can take a lesson from American Horror Story then I'd be for it because I like myself a good horror story.

I did hear something about 2nd season taking place in a hospital...or a hospital will be a locale. Again, radio.

This poster showed up on the net a few days ago, but it's been said since it was a fan made poster.

Now it could have been leaked by accident and they are saying it's fake to throw people off, or it could be fake, who knows...

I used to think that, but now I think they're pretty much balanced.

I think you're watching too many older classics.

TV shows are much better at relationships and character development, but I have found films can be effective as character studies. Plus, rarely does a television show create a real sense of atmosphere that movies seem to create so easily. Not to mention the overall scale of films and style.

I can see that. The great films are better than any television show I've ever seen. But, I still do think there are more quality stories in television than film.

Then again, I also like the idea of a 12-24 hour story rather than 2. I feel one is a really good 1,000 page novel I can get lost in, while the latter is a short novella.

But while I may like books like Ender's Game or A Game of Thrones, The Lottery by Shirley Jackson is my favorite story of all-time. And there you have it.

I do wish horror films were worth watching today. I know people enjoy the ones that are released today, but I can't. I find them to be cliche and boring.

When I was younger I feel that movies were way better. Better stories, better production, etc. But somewhere along the way TV has passed movies up, at least in the story telling department. Heck, half of the movies now days are remakes it seems.

Plus, it's just easier for me to get attached to the characters that you see weekly. I couldn't tell you the last time I felt anything when something happened to a character in a movie. However, when certain characters in some of my favorite TV shows "bite the bullet", then it's almost like losing a family member.
