Was The Thing not horror? Phantasm? Slither? The Faculty? Terror Vision? The Puppet Masters? Night of the Creeps? Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Day of the Triffids?

True. Depends on how they include aliens.

Aliens can be scary so I get your point. I just see the whole probing thing and it makes me more uncomfortable than scared.

I will also admit that AMH seems to me more classic horror. The Asylum is a perfect setting. The Haunted House from last year, perfect. Aliens? Doesn't give me that classic horror story. But maybe they do it right, if it is indeed aliens. Because aliens can be scary.

Just watched the premiere on DVR......Yep, it's bats--- crazy. Lots of stuff to digest. That asylum is so messed up. I feel bad for the reporter. The stuff with Kip is interesting. Can't wait to see the stories unfold.

I thought there might be a 7 deadly sins thing going on here but there wasn't a gluttony representation.

I'm probably in the minority, but I thought this became a convoluted mess the longer it went on. Also, I can't say I like the return of the two actors from last season. I think it further convolutes the previous stories as well as this starting point. The mixture of the macabre and aliens doesn't do a thing for me.

I thought the set-up was pretty easy to follow. The show casts itself as frantic and chaotic, but I tend to think the storyline is pretty straight-forward. Of course there are always questions that arise, but last season didn't make me feel things were being pitched from another field.

The 2 prominent ones in the first episode, but you know what I meant.

Four of them had major roles in the first episode. 😄

There's actually six and you're right, they were prominent.

I don't mind it at all. It's a different story. Doesn't matter to me what happened last year. That was last year. It's not like the stories belong together or it's part of the same universe.

I don't quite understand how people can follow an actor from movie to movie, tv series to tv series, and it's fine, but you put them on an anthology show like this and people freak out. If the show had a similar plot or location I might understand, but the show is completely different. I mean, people weren't complaining about Patrick Bateman dressing up like batman and fighting Qui Gon Ginn, so why is this so confounding?

Just kinky I think, it didn't seem to indicate anyone was dead. Not to mention it didn't seem to fit the MO of what Bloodyface does.

This season seems to be throwing more out there so far with the storylines. But it's all good so far, so I'm looking forward to how it all is going to play out.

I don't know that there's more being told, assuming you mean compared to the first season. I think because season one coalesced so well in the end, people forget how random and disconnected things seemed at first.
