    Re: *** Breaking Bad: Season 5 ***

Cannot believe Mike had to abandon is granddaughter, unbelievable. I'm surprised he didn't consider it as a setup, too many questions.

Things are about to hit the fan, too many loose ends... Also..

    A) No way Walter tells anyone he killed Mike. Going to play it off like he took his bag and rode off into the sunset.

    B) Todd has mentioned in the past that he has people on the inside. Bye bye list of 9.

          Re: *** Breaking Bad: Season 5 ***

I get so giddy with excitement each week when Breaking Bad roles around, it crushes me that this feeling of joy will be taken away from me after this week.

I've watched most all of the TV shows that are considered to be in that elite tier, I really now can't put any of them above the level that BB is on. I struggled with this for a while because you feel obliged to say one of the older shows is the best ever, but this, if not the best TV drama ever, is the defining TV show of the current generation. This is now the bar to which every other drama now will be measured against.

I have to emphasise drama because I'm still adamant that The Simpsons is the best overall TV show of all time.

The way Jesse and Sklyer looked at each other in the Car Wash makes me think that they are going to eventually team up and try and stop Walt.

              Re: *** Breaking Bad: Season 5 ***

What the hell is going to go down next Sunday? Killing Mike would have been a big oh **** moment for the 1st half season finale. I'm not sure how Gilligan could top that.

Who would have guessed back in Season 2 that Mike would go on to be one of the most popular characters on Breaking Bad. Jonathan Banks deserves an Emmy.

I felt more emotional over the death of Gus Fring but this one still stings.

It's amazing seeing the transformation of Walter White. He was a meek middle aged High School Teacher in his tighty whities in the pilot and now he's the biggest ruthless scumbag criminal on the show. I'm going to almost feel cheated if he doesn't die in the series finale.

                Re: *** Breaking Bad: Season 5 ***

Something to think about. Gilligan and the writers tend to have fun with BB episode titles (last season's "Face Off", season 2's cold openings involving the charred pink bear in the pool happening in episodes named "737" "Down" "Over" "ABQ", etc.).

Next Sunday's finale is named after a Walt Whitman poem, "Gliding Over All".

                GLIDING o’er all, through all,
                Through Nature, Time, and Space,
As a ship on the waters advancing,
The voyage of the soul – not life alone,
                Death, many deaths I’ll sing.

Walt is getting sloppy; and sloppiness has been the downfall of alot of characters to this point.

I don't think it'll matter. The DEA will just suspect that someone involved took Mike out before he turned.

The thing I like most about this show is the growth in Jessie. During season one I hated his character and the acting.

Now hes the best thing on TV.

Jesse wasn't supposed to last past season 1, originally. The production team was so impressed with Paul's acting and the character Jesse itself that they developed it completely impromptu.

I jumped into Breaking Bad last season and I always heard people say: "I hate Jesse. Can't stand him. He's a bad actor."

But the minute I saw him, I loved the character. And I think when a character is as annoying and frustrating to watch as Jesse is, it's an example of how good an actor a guy like Paul can be.

The turning point for me regarding Aaron Paul growing into an elite actor was back in the season 3 episode, "One Minute." His "I'll tell you what happens next..." monologue he delivers from his hospital bed sends shivers up my spine every time I watch it. It's that ******* good. He also steals the spotlight in a later scene in the very same episode where he goes in on Walt with the "It's all because of you..." speech. I have been an Aaron Paul supporter ever since.

I love these writers.. did anyone notice how badace Walt looked when he pointed the gun and shot Mike. But as soon as he realized what he had done he turns back into the old Walt running like a little kid after the car. "Omg! Omg! Omg! What have I done?"
