Definitely. Like the writer of that review on Awful Announcing, I am too young to remember that draft (not 2 years old yet), but these are the star QBs that I grew up with. Can't wait to hear more about what happened with Elway refusing to play for the Colts. The original Manning draft day face!

Re: ESPN 30 for 30 Discussion Thread
SpoilerJust how much would have changed with that. Is Joe Montana still successful elsewhere then? I wonder where Steve Young would have ended up?
Also, random and unrelated, but something about John Elway and 10 other guys always getting together to watch All My Children is hilarious to me.
Also, Jim Kelly is hilarious for his reaction to not getting picked by Buffalo at #12.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

I wasn't born for another 4 years but seeing the Chargers had 3 first round picks that year and did jack squat with them. Dan Fouts was good but we could have had Elway?

What a great episode. So many stories. Really sad about Gabriel Rivera though.
After being an Elway ***** for most of my life he is actually starting to grow on me a bit and is a pretty funny guy. Love the bit at the end where he gives it a bit to Bradshaw.Comment

I wish guys would/could speak their minds like that nowadays. Call it how they see it without worry of getting fined and being made to release an apology the following day. Ahh the good ole days. Lol.Comment

I loved that with Elway and Terry. I wonder if they've ever talked about it? Or ever "kissed and made up."

I think the only episode I've seen from this year is Bo Knows.
Finally got a chance to watch some of the 30 for 30 in last year's blu ray set.
The one one Ricky Williams was very good. First time seeing his back story.
Really enjoyed the Reggie Miller episode. Was awesome they had commentary from John Starks.
The Allen Iverson episode was good. Was somewhat hampered due to the fact that most people refused to be interviewed.Comment

I really liked the Fab Five documentary ESPN did as well. It's a shame Chris Webber wouldn't be in it.
For obvious reasons, the Ole Miss one is my favorite. The truth behind the school, the shame of ignorance, the proud history of the Program. And the Deep South tradition. The narrators voice fit it perfect. Though actually seeing the dork of a guy behind the voice took something away. Lol.Comment

Re: ESPN 30 for 30 Discussion Thread
I just watched the '83 draft episode and I agree the Jim Kelly reaction to being picked by Buffalo was HIGHLARIOUS! It's funny what happens when a rival league goes poof and then getting the richest contract in NFL history at the time can do to that though. Glad that he did eventually love his time with the Bills though.
I knew most of the stories concerning the '83 draft but what was new to me was the whole subplot with the Raiders. One has to think that if Al Davis wasn't in court against the league he could've had Elway or Marino on his team for 15+ years.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
