Two half hour shorts were on tonight. The Maradona half was mediocre. Yeah, we all know Maradona was great, but it's all highlights we've already seen.
The 2nd half hour about Chile had me wanting more. I believe that could have been given the full treatment. The background leading up to the coup was fully whitewashed over, and I would have liked to hear more from the players and the people who were inside the stadium.
Senna is one of my favorite sports docs and it got me interested in F1. If anyone is interested, last time I checked its up on Netflix.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Re: ESPN 30 for 30 Discussion Thread
I watched Requiem for the Big East yesterday morning and it was awesome. I wasn't around to see any of that really unfold so it was awesome to really understand why the Big East was the Big East. I'm actually not really a college basketball fan at all, but it still made me sad at the end when they showed Syracuse was leaving. Seemed like those guys really were close at the beginning. John Thompson in the sweater had me dead.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

That was great. Makes me wonder if I would've done the same. $$$$$ talks, especially to a young college kid. However, it's the mob. They can make you disappear without a trace!Comment

I was about halfway through watching Playing for the Mob last night and my power went out.

Henry Hill is such a character. And the FBI agent and Federal prosecutor from the case recalling Hill cluelessly admitting to other crimes in casual conversation, hilarious.Comment

Re: ESPN 30 for 30 Discussion Thread
really, without Hill this 30 for 30 would be pretty boring and dull. But because he's in it, it's a top 10 for me.

Re: ESPN 30 for 30 Discussion Thread
I'm sure those kids were scared ****less, but I honestly think those mobsters didn't give two ****s about the scheme while it was going on. If they did, the players would have really known it. It was just so sloppy. Amazing that this is what ended up bringing the main guy down.Comment

That's what's crazy. Big time guy gets knocked over because of some measly point shaving scheme that didn't even really work out all that well. And because Henry Hill opened his mouth...a lot.Comment

Spoilerat the end, Hill reunites with his mob buddy, and the show ends with the statement Hill passed away just a few months afterward.
I used to love listening to Hill and Arte Lange on Howard Stern's radio show...LolComment
