Re: Dexter (Season 7)
I can't see that being the end for Hannah. It could turn out that way, but I see her leaving the plant outside of Dexter's as a message to him that she's free. Plus, she still loves Dexter and I'm sure wants to get at Deb.
I hope she comes back for next season.
EDIT: Another thing to consider is how influenced Dexter has become by Hannah, even after giving her up to the cops. You had that scene where Harry tells Dexter "you're starting to sound like Hannah" as well as Dexter telling Deb "do what you gotta do" at the end. And of course you now have Dexter making kills to protect himself (survival of the fittest) the same way Hannah has.
I really can't see them not bringing Hannah back. Unless they have something different planned, I think she's still going to play a huge part in the endgame for the show and the downfall of Dexter.Last edited by BlueNGold; 12-17-2012, 05:24 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Pretty good ending but I felt this season started falling apart in the 2nd half once this Hannah-Dexter thing started and they turned Issac into a wimp giving lovelorn advice to Dexter about his relationship. They pussified that character in record time.
The finale was OK but they should have showed Laguerta sneak up to shoot Dexter and then have Deb shoot her. And why wouldn't call for backup since 1.how would that drug dealer know her phone #? and 2. Once she saw his car at the shipping yard? Dex is taking a huge leap of faith to assume Laguerta wouldn't call for backup.
And I hate the convenient plot moments like the DVD that mysteriously pops up now to set up the climax and give Deb just cause.
And last but certainly not least. After Hannah's ridiculous escape you would figure since she's a notorious killer who just killed again and then escaped, the cops would have had a city wide hunt looking for her rather than going to a new year's party. Apparently not though because she looks like she went home for some fresh clothes and get that flower and deliver it to Dexter personally.
Even if they only had 5 cops assigned for her recapture, wouldn't you figure that the first 2 places they would stake out would be her house and Dexter's house? I guess the whole dept was at that party. But then again I'm not sure why Hannah was arrested in the first place. Dex gave Deb the pen so how does that prove Hannah did it. And if it somehow did, how would Deb explain why Dex gave it to her, wouldn't Dexter be charged with being an accessory since he had that pen for awhile but didnt bother telling anyone.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 12-18-2012, 01:49 AM.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Poor Deb, always seems to walk in on Dexter's work at the wrong time. Good season overall. Now we wait and see how Dexter's free fall into madness plays out next season. Seeing that Deb has fallen deeper into Dexter's dark world on a whole new level, i don't know who she will now become. I think the worst is yet to come for Deb's story.
I hope the writers continue the momentum they created.
Hannah,
SpoilerMaybe she'll be waiting for Dexter in Argentina as one of the possible series ending scenarios?Comment

That's a possibility but I feel like the show has to end with Dexter either getting locked up or dying. I don't think there should be a happily ever after ending.Poor Deb, always seems to walk in on Dexter's work at the wrong time. Good season overall. How does everyone else think the show should end? I'm interested in hearing others thoughts on that.

Yea I don't see a happily ever after ending either... I'm guessing the series ends with Dex dying. That's a possibility but I feel like the show has to end with Dexter either getting locked up or dying. I don't think there should be a happily ever after ending.

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Gotta admit, I'm pleased with what the writers did here. Very pleased.
That final scene, I had scenarios running through my mind of how season 8 would play out if Debra shot Dexter or shot LaGuerta.
And I don't know if I would have been ready for either decision. I definitely jaw dropped when I saw LaGuerta sink in from the shot. Just hit me how real this is for Debra now. She's going all in."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

There's no going back for Debra now. Hopefully, season 8 is as good or better than 7 because I've really enjoyed this season. I even appreciate it more after thinking about seasons 5 and 6.Gotta admit, I'm pleased with what the writers did here. Very pleased.

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Something I never caught on the first viewing of that final scene was Deb screaming "I hate you" to Dexter as she's holding LaGuerta in her arms.
Jennifer Carpenter seriously deserves some awards for her performance this season.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

When Dex & Deb got to the New Years party, I just knew they were going to kiss after the ball dropped....that would've been insanely creepyComment

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
I think that (and more) is inevitable next season. Like CMH said, Deb's going all in now and what she did is going to be a major part of Dexter starting to piece together that he can feel the same way Deb does about him.
If you think about it, Deb and Dexter's situation now is basically the same as the story of Hannah and Wayne Randall. Hannah fell in love with a murderer, had this fantasy of them together and killed out of love for Wayne. The final piece of that story is them going on the run, which is where I think we're going to end up with Deb and Dexter because there's no way they could possibly cover up LaGuerta's death. I think they've already set it up with Batista inviting LaGuerta to his party and then wondering why she didn't show, as well as Quinn now hooking up with Jaime, which I'd like to think will lead to the writers finally acknowledging that Quinn learned certain things about Dexter back in Season 5.
Man, all these thoughts in my head are making me sad we have to wait until the end of next September for the last season. I wish the Season 7 DVD would come out sooner than a month before the new season airs.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick.
