Carrie's facial expressions annoy me sometimes too. Mostly when she's crying. But she does an unbelievable job otherwise.

I find Brody's wife super hot. Even with the short hair which I typically hate on chicks.

I think the acting on this show is phenomenal.

I haven't been this excited about a TV series since Lost.

I agree. The funny thing is, my wife's friend looks EXACTLY like her. Her friend used to have longer hair as well, but cut it short over the past year. It's almost scary how similar they look...

Yeah, Morena is still gorgeous with the short hair, but with the below the shoulder length she had during her Firefly days, too nice.

Okay, the expressions and infatuations are getting us a little distracted here, gents. Hasn't anyone been a bit disturbed how Brodie, for whom we are possibly being asked to sympathize with, seems to be bringing his daughter in "the fold" of sorts. Remember, she has been suspicious of this being more than simply a spiritual move by her father. Also, are we a even more duped by the fact that this actor has played in heroic roles in the past? Are we expecting him to now re-revert and again become a true Marine? Will he claim that he is really a double agent and save his skin?

                  Re: Homeland: Season Two

I posted a few episodes ago about how it seems like he's bringing his daughter into the fold. Using her resentment against her, to manipulate her and such.

                  It's an interesting subplot, IMO.

I feel like Brody's interaction with his daughter is the only time that he's not performing. I think that he does want her to understand the person who he has become, but I don't think that he's trying to recruit or manipulate her for any nefarious purposes.

I would be very disappointed if they take the daughter down that path, but I could see it happening. A better narrative, in my opinion, is for the daughter to empathize with his demons and understand his motivations, but to completely reject and violent and/or vengeful actions.

For me, only Saul and Carrie have a more interesting dynamic than those two.

I've heard so many good things about this show. For those that watch or have watched series like Breaking Bad, THe Wire, Boardwalk Empire, and Sons Of Anarchy where does it rate?

I have seen BB, The Wire and Homeland. Judging on season 1 + 2 episodes of season 2 I would say Homeland, Breaking Bad, The Wire.

It's hard to judge because the WOW moment in Breaking Bad are so much better because you have 5 seasons leading up to them.

You are reciting the plot line for Dexter now. I think they would be aware of that and try to avoid something so similar.

It's a great show. I think it's tough to compare it to either the Wire or Breaking Bad because it's been less than 1.5 seasons so far. I like it much better than Boardwalk Empire, though I never really got into it. Haven't seen Sons of Anarchy.

But yea its definitely in the elite class of well written shows.

I do not watch Sons of Anarchy, although I've heard it's good, but I've watched the other shows here. My ranking:

                                1. The Wire (Greatest series in TV history. Period.)
                                2. Breaking Bad (Best current show on TV)
                                3. Homeland
                                4. Boardwalk Empire

All four are excellent shows -- residents of the pantheon of TV in the last 10 years.
