Great to see the writers kept true with the guitar and the umbrella from past seasons. Just wonder though, how long do they string out the beginning of their relationship? Do we have to wait 4 or 5 episodes before Ted and the mom go on a date?

It's still "a little ways down the road" meaning we probably won't revisit that moment until much later in the season if not the season finale.

If it's "a little ways down the road", then it looks like this happens in the spring. So it might end up around April or something that this happens.

Either way...he's within feet of meeting his wife. If this happens in 2nd half of the season, then no way can season 8 be the last one, there's still so much more to have happen. Season 8 should revolve around Barney-Robin and everything leading up to them getting married, and the build to Ted meeting his wife, then season 9 focuses on him meeting his wife and concluding the show.

I thought it was relatively good. We got our first real glimpse of the mother. But it'll be awhile before we meet her. We still have to find out what happened to Ted and Victoria. We still have to see what happened with Barney and Robin. Remember, the whole window story started with Robin freaking out. And I'm guessing Ted recognizes her from the wedding since (I think) the whole premise was, he met the mother at the wedding.

I think i may of hit my point of being done with the show last night, just feel like the writers are throwing darts out there, and that they dont really know where they are going with it. just my opinion, ive been watching since season 1, so i feel like i have myself invested in it, but the last 3 seasons, have just not been very good to me. oh well.
