That is ridiculous if they do that. 24 is one thing. 24 episodes, 24 hours. I can see why though. Marshall and Lily are still around, otherwise, they move to Italy. The show is just called "How I Met Your Mother", not "How I Met, and then Dated, and then Proposed, and then Married Your Mother". I'll have to see how they do it.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
And I can actually see why and how they would stretch the wedding weekend throughout the season, as long as they make some traction on us getting to know more about the mother in most of the episodes, I'm okay with that. Not how I'd prefer the final season be done, but I'm hopeful that they can finish strong regardless of the path they choose.Last edited by bichettehappens; 05-14-2013, 10:45 AM.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
LOL. Um, Its even worse than I expected. From the EW article:
"Our ninth season will tell the epic story of the longest wedding weekend ever. We hope you like it. Next stop, Farhampton..."
They are going to stretch the ****ing wedding through the entire season. I'm officially out. I've seen the mother and I really dont give a **** what happens during Barney's wedding. There were so many different ways they couldve taken the 9th season but they picked the worse one.
Is there a link to this?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
She is wearing boots when she gets on the train to Farhampton. She is at the train station after the wedding in different shoes. She must have an overnight bag because this is a couple of days, and maybe you just can't see it in the scene. Otherwise, the boots go poof!Comment

Anyway, its a bunch of BS. I'm not interested in spending 12 more hours watching the creators of this show dick around.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
Here is Sepinwall's article that contains the quote:
http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-wat...hat-comes-nextThere are at least three ways they can approach things:
1)They pull a "Lost" season 4, and Barney and Robin's wedding weekend becomes a framing device to flashforwards of Ted and the Mother's life together in the days, weeks, months and/or years that follow that wedding;
2)They use the wedding as a framing device for a parallel flashback narrative about what the Mother was up to over the last 8 years, including the various times (Ted's lecture to the wrong college class, Ted dating Rachel Bilson) when their paths briefly, tangentially crossed. That's one of the ideas Thomas mentioned a couple of years ago for what they might do if a ninth season happened;
3)A combination of the two, where sometimes we see the Mother's past and sometimes her future with Ted.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
Yep. Whats so frustrating is that I think most fans dont give a **** about how he met the mom anymore. They just want to see Ted meet her, get married and have kids. See M & L raise their kids. See what happens to Barney and Robin. Why Carter and Bays think that people have the tolerance for 22 episodes of stalling is dumbfounding.Comment

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
There's the chance it won't be that bad, but that still doesn't change that it's a bad decision on their part.
The final season should have Barney and Robin's wedding play out over the first 3 episodes or so, Ted meets the mother, we see their first date, why and how she's "the one", maybe an episode or two from the mother's perspective, her pregnancy (because remember, the daughter is already born in May 2014 in time for "Trilogy Time"), and Marshall becoming a judge, Lilly's art career taking off, Robin becoming a big time news anchor, and whatever it is they want to do with Barney.
For them to make an entire 20-something episode season last over the course of 3 days is just really ****ing ridiculous.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 8
What makes you think they will do that though? The only ones I could tolerate is #1 and 3. #2 (the only one C&B have even hinted at) could be an absolute disaster because they are now asking a new character who fans have no connection with to carry the show for a season. I think 4 is the most likely one.Comment
