Anything is possible in this "you can't trust anybody" world but I think they have to draw the line somewhere. IMO I think the odds are against both of them being in on it. It seems that Weston genuinely idolizes Hardy, unless it's a case of him being torn between who to be loyal to. Claire...maybe.

Interesting that Carroll would put his plan in jeopardy by not revealing Jacob not being ready. I guess it's all part of his story.

I didn't think that was so unusual. He should know as many details as possible about all the parties involved. Assuming Weston is one of the good guys his extra info came in handy.

I am beginning to find the scenes of the wannabe serial killers all sitting around and relishing in their evil deeds as campy as hell. Ah yes, let's enjoy a starbucks coffee and talk about who we killed last week. Its ****ing dumb.

Yeah, like you're waiting for a Scary Movie 10 ad to break out.

I enjoy the "off beatness" of the show but you can't take it too seriously.

Weston has already been shown he was a bit obsessed with Hardy and the case, so that's not too shocking.

Parker isn't his boss, she is kind of his partner and handler since he isn't an actual FBI agent anymore. In the pilot Hardy's ex partner was in charge of the investigation, but for reason's I don't remember she was sent back and Parker, who is an expert in cult behavior, was brought in as a replacement. There's no reason she would look into coworker's families.

I hope Weston isn't one of the followers, it just seems too telegraphed.

Yeah, watching the kidnappers is getting cringe worthy, I'm reminded of watching Harper's Island and that's not a good thing.

She was let go from the case because she let him, a non FBI agent, go in alone and break Joe's fingers.

I love this show btw. I love how dramatic and how the characters are built. It's eerie - and I feel compelled to think about it after I've turned off the TV. It's the only show that I spoil with watching the next week episode highlights.

I'd like to read Carroll's novels.

Me too. Does anyone love the flashbacks as well? Love that they introduced that Ryan was covering the case with Joe as a reliable source in the beginning. They even had a couple drinks - like old friends, it was a quality build up.

Finally caught up with the latest episode. Weston sure took his sweet *** time to come and "rescue" Ryan & Jenny!

I believe he is a follower. He always wants to tag along with Ryan so he can keep an eye on him.

I think he let that FBI agent die (the one Maggie stabbed in the neck) instead of trying to stop the bleeding.

He may have killed Maggie to throw us off but she went rogue against Joe's plans and they terminated her.

I don't know. They cast Weston with the guy that played Jimmy Olsen* (well sort of) on Smallville. I think he's a good guy.

EDIT: Just found out that the actor that plays Weston is the twin brother of the guy that played Jimmy Olsen on Smallville.

I carelessly did not set this up for series record. I just realized it 20 minutes into the show. Fortunately there's an encore Saturday night.

Another good episode in my book.

They could have easily let things drag, but I like how they are pushing the story to move forward.

Yes, another great one. Argh, I need a two hour episode though - this one had me the whole way.
