Me and the fiance saw it just a couple hours ago, definitely the best blockbuster of the year yet, in my opinion it's ahead of Age Of Ultron easily.

I loved that it had the vibe of the first movie but on a bigger scale with more terror. The Indominous(?) was AMAZING!!!!!!! My goodness, I was wowed at it's innate ability to just be spectacular.

I was afraid that after the two brothers got lost, the movie would then completely center on trying to find them while the Indominous(?) would be after them, glad that wasn't the complete picture.

I wasn't fond of the raptors switching sides so quickly both times like that, but at the end of the day their animals with no true sense of loyalty.

Glad it took three dinos to take out the Indominous(?) though, just showed how powerful she truly was.

I really want a sequel, but I'm afraid of the direction they might go with a sequel. The military dinosaurs proved to be unreliable, i hope they don't go that route again.

And if they do, truly hope its not in the forms of raptors. I love the raptors in all, but there's something special about a 50ft dinosaur chasing you that you don't get from a 9-12ft dino chasing you.

In-conclusion, best movie of the summer so far and hope it gets a sequel

No doubt. I saw this one posted on IMDB and I thought it was pretty spot on.

I see people singing this films' praises and a decent score from critics, and I can't help but be perplexed. Cardboard characters. Cheesy dialogue. Ridiculous scenarios (even for a JP film). CGI suffocation. And an ending fit for the SyFy channel.

Even as a "turn your brain off" thriller, this was lazy and uninspired and felt like something written and directed by a 15 year old boy. Someone restore my faith in the film community and tell me Im not crazy or that I am not being overly critical. I wanted to enjoy this, but it was just awful to me

I thought the first Avengers movie was good, but feel like since then Marvel has dropped the ball, except for Winter Solider which I think is their BEST movie to date and Guardians of the Galaxy which was very unexpectedly good, beyond that, I disliked Ironman 3, disliked Thor 2 dark world as well.

Age of Ultron is the only other big summer movie out to compare it too, and I just feel like in my opinion, Jurassic world was a more fun movie to watch. I do hope Marvel gets their groove back with captain America Civil War and their next series of movies, however I have to say, Antman looks STUPID

It thoroughly exceeded my expectations. Easily the second best in the quadrilogy, although I'm not sure what that says considering how truly awful Jurassic Park III is.

So it was predicted that the movie was going to make 120-125 OW and Friday ended up making 82 million and now the movie could end up making up to 200 million. I think people underestimated how much a 14 year gap created anticipation for this movie.

Picked up my 16-yr old son with friends and they all loved it. Many Kids and Adults love dinosaurs.

We all have our own opinions, I personally don't think the Marvel movies were all that great. I enjoyed the first Ironman, thought 2 was terrible and 3 serviceable. Didn't like the first Captain America but thought it was better that the first Thor movie. The first Avengers movie was in a way something of its time. Seeing all those guys and gal together in a single movie was at the time breath taking.

After that, Iron man 3 didn't do it for me as I mentioned before and Thor 2 was terrible. Guardians was something special because it was unexpected. The first trailer of the film looked bad but me and my fiance loved the movie. And with Winter Solider I feel like Marvel captured something there. It sort of reminded me of The DArk Knight but not as grim, Marvels first truly excellent movie in my opinion.

With Age of Ultron, the mystic of seeing the crew together for the first time wore off, and non of the heroes really for a chance to shine.

On Topic: Maybe it's because it's been so long since I've seen a good Jurassic Park movie but this one really entertained me on all fonts. Not the most spectacular script nor the best effects but seeing those dinos again on the big screen just worked, especially after the crap that was Jurassic Park 3.

To each his own I guess


Edit, Now I'm not sure if the comment you made was because I didn't like Age of Ultron or because I'm posting this in the jurassic park thread.

I was just responding to ANDROMADA 1 who told me to "whoa" on saying this was better than Age of Ultron.

I agree. Probably just the kid in me. Don't really care about a "story arc" or "character development" when there are freakin dinosaurs on the screen.

Don't really think you can compare this to Avengers 2. Completely different movies.

We're actually in about the same boat opinion wise about the Marvel movies. Didn't see Ultron or JW yet. It was just the wording I guess. But don't mean to derail.

Can't wait for Avengers vs. JW.

Not much depth at all, and thats not necessarily a bad thing. Lots of "OMG" spots. I feel like they played the megaladonasaurus (whatever its name is) card one too many times.


The one thing I really didnt like was the two kid's baby sitter character.

Anyway, it was a fun movie. The 3d was a wasted opportunity. Not much effort went into that at all.

Thought it was a good movie! Better than Lost World and 3, but I really wish the dinosaurs didn't look so CG. That's what I miss from Jurassic Park the most - how real it felt. Can't they blend animatronics and CGI to bring that "realistic" feel back?

And this scene sums up my feelings for the movie perfectly.
