Watched S3, E1
SpoilerHad a strong feeling that Stamper lived. He knew too much dirt for them to write his character off.
But man, Stamper is a sick you know what. I hope they get into his lifelong issues sometime in this season.
Claire with the ultimate power play. I can't stand her but she is so cunning. I respect it.
Frank just killed some kids man. I don't think this will go well in the public.
Just saw the first episode of season 3:
SpoilerLooks to me like Underwood is easing Stamper out and Stamper isn't taking it too kindly. Wonder if there will eventually be a split between them and Stamper eventually plays a role in Underwood's downfall, which we all know is coming.
Going to really enjoy seeing the Underwoods pull out all the stops in their re-election campaign. And the whole "Claire Underwood as UN ambassador" angle could go a number of ways as well, whether it's her twisting arms at the UN or her nomination being torpedoed by the Republicans in Congress.
Finally, lol @ Underwood dressing down his entire economic team on his jobs plan. That was great.
Spoileri think Stamper is too loyal so I don't see him taking Frank down. He'll probably try to kill Seth.
I want to see how the Supreme Court nominations play out. Frank will try to get his own guy in there.

SpoilerYou could be right. Or, given how broken down Stamper is (physically and emotionally), the fact that he failed to tie up loose ends, and that he's dabbling with alcohol again, Underwood might decide he's a liability and pull the plug on him. Anyways, it will be interesting to see how Stamper's relationship with Underwood will evolve from here on out.I write things on the Internet.

This is the first season we've had to kinda drag ourselves through... we're only 5-6 episodes in and it didn't even enter the conversation yesterday about picking up where we left off Saturday. Probably finish it next weekend, which we've never done w/ House of Cards.Comment

That's disappointing to read. Do others feel the same way, that season 3 is kind of a drag? I am halfway done with season 2.Comment

Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
SpoilerFrank and Claire's sexual chemistry is nonexistent, and I don't know where the writers are going with it.From the start of season three Claire wants to sleep alone, then bangs Frank on the floor when he's down, then cuddles with him on another occasion, still wants to sleep alone, then wants Frank to be rough with her.............then decides Frank isn't enough for her. I like their interaction as a political team, but that's it.
The writer didn't work for me, because his character was loosely put together and I couldn't get the image of the goofy guy on Boardwalk Empire out of my head. The awkward "near sex" encounter with Frank was a 9.7 (out of 10) on the creepy meter...UGH...
The political infighting and backstabbing is the heart of the show.

Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
I really loved this season and how it was a departure from the breakneck pace of the first two seasons.
Spoiler
He didn't want to do it, but he felt he had to and I agree with that completely. He's spent two years to contain this loose end and it ended up crippling him. In his shoes I wouldn't trust her either. It was much easier and safer to just wipe her off for good this time. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

It was like he was in love with her. Why was he so devastated when he thought she was dead?Comment

Season Finale Spoilers
SpoilerLittle disappointed with how everything played out. This season just seemed dry. I really miss the cut-throat politics Frank used while clawing his way to the top. Just not the same now that he's POTUS.
My favorite parts of the season were Franks interactions with Russia. Very sinister and they seemed to progress the story.
Can someone explain to me what the point of Frank and Claire "rediscovering their love" midseason only to have it completely fall apart again? I mean, was her hair color just a big metaphor?
Didn't really like the new characters either. The author was interesting at first, but became pretty predictable. Still enjoyed the season, just not as much this time around.
