Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
I just finished Episode 9, Chapter 22. Season 2 is clearly better than season 1.
Spoiler for episode 9, Chapter 22:
SpoilerWhat about Raymond Tusk and that poor noisy bird?
What about the legs on Robin Wright (Claire)?

The ending of the season was so powerful.
SpoilerI was skeptical after they essentially killed off the journalists but the political backstabbing is such entertainment! I hope Obama isn't that oblivious...SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
Just finished Season 2.
SpoilerOverall it had a lot more shockers (Zoe getting killed & the scene with Meecham) than the first season, but I can't say it was better.
The main theme of almost every HoC episode has been Frank being put in impossible situation facing pressure and against the clock - and in the season finale, they decide to wave a magic wand and just let everything magically fall into place? GTFO, i know shoddy last minute homework when I see it, and that's exactly what the writing was in the last episode.
Horrible episode.
And why even bother showing the scene with Gavin and Doug if you were going to kill off Doug? What did that add to the story?
They put the best episode first and the worst episode last.

Sent from my SGH-T889 using TapatalkSpoilerFeels like the message was that Frank is smarter than everyone and was always a step ahead. He foresaw everything and understood the motives of people. When his back was against the wall he (and his wife) didn't hold back. Some allies became friends some friends became allies and so on. He kind of reminds me of a certain individual that is your avatar. I did feel like he regained the trust of the President rather quickly. Other than that I thought the last episode was well done.
I saw the Doug death coming. The scene with him and Gavin seemed like a passing of the torch.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Sent from my SGH-T889 using TapatalkSpoilerof the first versus last episode. The show was consistently well done throughout it's second season run.
SPOILER!: Response to LAST episode of season 2:
SpoilerAs for the last episode I thought things did happened too easily in Frank's favor, but I wouldn't even think of downgrading it to a "horrible episode". The bottom line was to get Frank at the top and have Doug killed to setup season 3. It didn't go perfect, but I enjoyed it.

Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
This show officially has the Breaking Bad effect on me, except worse. At times it's so ****ing frustrating but so good. I liked the season, I guess the fact that I got pissed off watching means I'm hooked.
I haven't seen many people talk about it, but the civil war re-enactment scene was really Frank's rallying point. After that he was played everything like a violin.
Just finished Season 2.

Spoiler
It isn't so much a "Them Duke boys done get into a whole heap a'trouble now" as it is a constant addition to the adversity. The problems don't just vanish into mid air, they stay with Frank and Claire all the way up to the finale. If you keep putting air in the balloon, it will pop. Frank was just smart (or lucky) enough to control where the balloon popped.
Just because he's POTUS doesn't mean the issues raised in Season 2 or 1 will go away.
And Gavin/Doug Response:
Spoiler
Doug felt threatened by what Gavin said, and he wanted to make sure Rachel wasn't going to be harmed, so he tried to move her. One thing lead to another and well...
Dookie, you are behind on literally everything. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
Question regarding the ending of Chapter 19:
SpoilerThe part where Stamper is with Rachel at the end of the episode and she tells that story about Rachel in the Bible and asks him if he wants dinner...what was the significance of that? I left off at that episode, so I haven't seen anything that happens after that, so if it gets answered, just tell me to keep watching, but I'm really curious because it seemed really important based on the way Stamper looked at her at the end lol.NFL: Bills

Re: House Of Cards [Netflix Original] 2/01/13
I think he just has unresolved mommy issues and she filled that role kinda. Often unwillingly. I never really cared enough to read much into that and was rooting for her to die every episode because it was my least favorite part.
