Yes, they fell short of having the cheesy SM3 dance, but we got a heel click instead. Just felt sappy at times. The plot point of being in love with Gwen, but keeping her at a distance was well established.

And the villians at the end felt more like cameo appearances. Again, too much storyline for 1 film.

Much improved over SM3 , but similar "too much too soon" feeling still rings true for me.

Movie felt like a cross between 500 Days of Summer and a Spiderman movie. With that being said, I loved it.

Wasn't bad but wasn't good either and the right word is rushed with too much story so in the end I'm disappointed. I think they broke away from the formula that made the first one so good.

Seen it today didn't really like it at all. Too much love and not enough action. Fell asleep a couple times. The wife didn't like it either

Re: The Amazing Spiderman Sequel (201?)

Just got done watching and feeling it in 4d. It was like riding a roller coaster. Most amazing movie experience ever.

I thought it was just vibrating chairs but no way. Giant gust of wind, water mist, flashes of light to emulate electricity and lightning. I loved how the chairs will tilt you forward on a zoom in or lay back on an out. If the camera was going in a circle the chair would follow the flow of the camera or tilt with a panoramic shot. So if you looked up at a big building it would tilt back. Amazing affect.

Flying around with spidey was so fun. The wind was as strong as if you stuck your head out of a window. Or you would get light wind if he's standing on a tall building.

Kinda got a headache now on how intense the rumble was. You really felt the electricity or explosions, like you were there. I'm spoiled now that I want to see every action movie like this.

Looking forward to Godzilla and X-men.

Completely agree me and the girl friend both walked out and went "meh." We both enjoyed the first one though, this one felt some what rushed even though it was so long, just bad pacing. On the other hand we both thought Captain America was awesome

Roughly $10 for "4D." Mind you, that's the price in Manila.

Re: The Amazing Spiderman Sequel (201?)

I really enjoyed it. I understand that some people didn't enjoy the pacing. I felt it was somewhat necessary and I can't fault them for trying to go more in depth with Peter and Gwen. If it was way more action and less of their relationship, I don't think it would hit a casual audience on the effect it would have on Peter. It'll be harder to sympathize with his loss and understand his character in future movies.

I felt that was all necessary but I do agree that Harry was rushed. It seemed hard to do though. If it was just Peter, Gwen and Harry throughout and a slow burn to Harry turning into the Goblin, there would be 0 action until the end. If Harry doesn't become the Goblin in this movie and it focused solely on Electro, then the stuff at the end wouldn't happen. It's understandable why Harry turned and how desperate he was before. I think they did a great job but I'm also a guy that enjoys movies that try to get a story across and not just pure action.

I just saw it in IMAX 3D, which I believe is the "best" you can get for movies around here and that was the only I've seen there I actually thought did a good job with it.

I thought the movie was alright but it did a pretty crappy job introducing the Green Goblin & Rhino was just awful. They shouldn't have even put him in it. Waste of a villain.

If Sony wants to make an Infamous movie though, they did a great job showing it can be done with Electro.

I really liked the movie. Not quite up there with Avengers, Iron Man or Cap 2 as far as Marvel goes. Maybe in the Cap 1 or X-Men First Class range and I loved both movies. I won't give a huge, detailed review now as I just left the theater and want to gather my thoughts and reminisce a bit first.
I do, however, want to share this piece of fan art I saw on Twitter that is amazing and very emotional. Didn't retweet the pic because of MAJOR HUGE PLOT REVEALING SPOILERS so I thought I would put it here.
Again, please don't open the spoiler if you haven't seen the movie. I know curiosity gets to us sometimes, but do yourself a favor on this one and leave it alone.
