Wow......

So I saw it. Went back for a second viewing. The imax 3D theatre was surprisingly not packed. The ticket person told me a lot of people either just don't like 3D or get headaches from it.

It was everything I wanted. Fantastic movie so much fun. I'm so happy JJ has bought Star Wars back like this way.

Five minutes in I was so captivated that I didn't even think about the spoiler I was exposed to.

I have pages and pages on here to catch up on now that I can read the spoiler hidden comments. I have so many questions. I can't wait to see what kind of awesome stuff they cook up for us in the next film.

I really hope Snoke doesn't turn out to be Plagueis simply because the immaculate conception angle for Anakin is still lame as hell.

The whole movie I was thinking Kylo Ren was the worst sith to come around but I loved his character and knew he had so much potential that I really hoped they wouldn't kill him. We've only had really strong sith so far, it's really nice to see someone who's vulnerable.

Unfortunately, I had Han Solo's death ruined for me so the whole bridge scene was kind of ruined.

I definitely think it would've been awesome as some people have mentioned if Luke would've won the light saber over Rey and Kylo but then Kylo would've died for sure, even if it was in the next movie and that's no good.

I'm glad they are taking this approach. It was kind of weird for me that Luke was able to catch up to Vader so quickly. I like that Rey and Kylo are both still "coming up" and being trained. Kylo clearly has much to learn, his angry outbursts and inconsistent emotions really show that lack of typical discipline shown by others before him, tho I guess technically he isn't Sith? I dunno. I just like it. Can't wait to see these two grow in power.

I think the biggest surprise for me was Daisy Ridley. She's extremely appealing and sells the role so well. So excited to see what the future holds.

Funniest moment in the film....the two stormtroopers who turn around and go the other way when Kylo Ren is throwing a temper tantrum. Second would be when BB-8 held up the lighter at Finn. Funny how just little things like that can make you burst out laughing.

As far as Kylo's characterization, this was how Anakin should've been portrayed in the prequel trilogy.

Worst part....having to tell the teenager in front of me to put his damn lightsaber down.

I didn't have Han's death spoiled, but as soon as he walks out there, you can see that coming a mile away. Still a good scene, but not a shocking twist by any means

After watching this the second time today, something dawned on me.

Kylo Ren's speaking voice (when wearing his helmet) reminds me so much of Anton Chigurh's from No Country for Old Men. The tone of his voice, his delivery, everything.

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

Just saw another theory about Rey:

She is the descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Clearly too young to be his daughter, she could be his granddaughter, which obviously would not necessarily preclude her from being Luke's daughter as well. But he had that lightsaber for years before he gave it to Luke, and Ewan McGregor lent his voice to the scene where the lightsaber calls out to her.

As far as the celibacy thing goes, the article I saw points out that while Obi-Wan was a very loyal Jedi, after Order 66, there is no Jedi order, and he wouldn't be held to any vows. What the article fails to point out is that in the Clone Wars series (which is still canon), we learn that Obi-Wan hasn't always kept that vow not to love, as he was at one point involved to a degree with the Mandalorian Queen.

If this theory is anywhere close to on point, I desperately want an Obi-Wan Anthology film with Ewan McGregor, more than the Han Solo or Boba Fett films. Showing this, along with Darth Maul coming back for revenge, would be so awesome, and McGregor was the highlight of the prequels

It's eerily identical...I felt the same way. No Country for Old Men is one of my favorites, so it made me like him even more.

I think this is a bit too on the nose a theory. I do think over the course of the trilogy some sort of redemption will take place with the villain. I mean it's almost guaranteed.
