Deb dies, I am gonna be so disappointed. She (and Jennifer Carpenter's acting) has been the only redeeming thing on the show the last 2 seasons, despite the stupid and now almost completely unacknowledged "I think I am in love with my brother" B.S.

It really sucks how this show got this way. I wish I stopped a couple seasons ago but that's what I get for being loyal. Dexter was at one point the greatest character in tv for me but now I wish I can erase the last couple seasons.

It had a chance to be one of the greats, ahh well. At least it will be over soon and Homeland will be starting.

I must be in the minority with comparing this to breaking bad.
I hate the way both these shows have ended.

Probably because I just literally hate EVERYONE in breaking bad.
To each his own though.
Just want this show to be over

I just don't get it. The first 6 seasons might as well not have happened. Is the finale 2 hours?

the finale is one hour but something tells me that will be more than enough.

Totally agree the character of Dexter going thru a total reinvention in the worst way possible pretty much makes him unrecognizable from the first few seasons where you would want to root for him. Now he is an unlikable weenie who's more emotional than a schoolgirl and his possible death is almost welcome because he deserves it for making stupid decisions the last 3 years and putting his family needlessly at risk out of pure sloppiness.And I seriously doubt thats what the writers intended, they did this out of total incompetence.

I think the climax of season 4 is a good ending for this series and just pretend the last 4 seasons never existed.

I don't think Dexter turning from a badass to a weenie is bad. He is ridding himself truly of the dark passenger.

I was more so talking about that unless someone completely spills the beans it will never be known that he was the Bay Harbor Butcher or that Deb shot LaGuerta. Unless the writers pull something that makes no sense he is going to either get away or go down for helping Hannah. I am going to have to watch Dexter first so that Breaking Bad van bring me back up.

The showrunner of the first 4 seasons, Clyde Phillips, just did an Ask Me Anything on Reddit. He says he'll come back Monday to share what his ending would have been.

Well, for better or worse, tonight's the night for the last time.

I don't even know what to expect (and not in a good way). I'm just hoping they can somehow pull a rabbit out of their asses and give me a satisfying ending so I don't have to pretend like this season never happened.

And then watch them go with an ending of this all being a dream sequence after Deb really shot Dexter at the end of last season.

I wouldn't like it...but I think I might like it better then where it is heading to currently.

I am actually looking forward to it just to see how bad it goes and I'm being serious. It could be history making tonight. If the finale goes as planned then this season will become legendary as perhaps the worst final season of all time.
