Re: Dexter (Season 8)
Well the good news is the spoilers weren't 100% accurate. The bad news was it was actually much worse. WTF did I just watch. There is no words to describe how bad that was. Congrats writers you officially have written the worst season of TV in recorded history.Comment

At least I was invested tonight, if only to see how if ended being the only reason....
Happy, bit still a little sad to see the show go...those first 4 seasons were unlike anything else...Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 8)
LOL at Deb being fine one minute and then a minute later "guess what folks, she's brain dead. Tough break". And the CGI at the end. WTF?????? Did they blow their show budget before they could film the last scenes.
The best laugh is when Bautista was in the room with Dex and Quinn after Dex killed the guy with the pen. He just had this look on his face and then said something like WTF just happened? (and I'm pretty sure he wasn't acting at that point) He pretty much resembled the face of every one of the viewers this year. As in WTF did I just watch for the last 4 months?Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 09-22-2013, 10:28 PM.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 8)
Spoilers? The last show just finished. If people come into a Dexter thread after the last episode played and don't expect spoilers then they are as dense as the writers.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 8)
That was weak. The writers must have been fans of a certain super hero movie.
I'm just going to pretend Dexter died from shock after finding Rita and the rest was all just a bad dream.

Re: Dexter (Season 8)
I would have enjoyed that if it made sense.
Spoiler
I'm not sure how a patient goes long enough without air to cause brain damage while in a hospital.
I would have been fine with that episode if Dexter was faking his death to get away from going into custody.
The twist at the end just sums up seasons 5-8.

Re: Dexter (Season 8)
Well, at least we don't have to watch this any more. I'm not too angry about how this ended. What happened to Deb felt right on some level, though it did feel a bit random. This show looks really bad compared to BB.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 8)
Everything else was pretty much trash, but **** if Deb dying didn't hit me like a ton of bricks.
EDIT: Also, Clyde Phillips' idea for the series finale had he still be running the show:
"In the very last scene of the series," Philips explained, "Dexter wakes up. And everybody is going to think, 'Oh, it was a dream.' And then the camera pulls back and back and back and then we realize, 'No, it's not a dream.' Dexter's opening his eyes and he's on the execution table at the Florida Penitentiary. They're just starting to administer the drugs and he looks out through the window to the observation gallery.
"And in the gallery are all the people that Dexter killed—including the Trinity Killer and the Ice Truck Killer (his brother Rudy), LaGuerta who he was responsible killing, Doakes who he's arguably responsible for, Rita, who he's arguably responsible for, Lila. All the big deaths, and also whoever the weekly episodic kills were. They are all there.
"That's what I envisioned for the ending of Dexter. That everything we've seen over the past eight seasons has happened in the several seconds from the time they start Dexter's execution to the time they finish the execution and he dies. Literally, his life flashed before his eyes as he was about to die. I think it would have been a great, epic, very satisfying conclusion."Last edited by BlueNGold; 09-23-2013, 02:50 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
