if they make a big deal out of "who's the killer", and at the end is Dr. Vogal. I will be very disappointed, because everyone is already predicting it. And the writers would be complete morons, if they think that no one would think of that from the beginning.

I have less problem with it if they reveal it the next show, the gloved hand seems like a big giveaway. The bigger problem I have is the Dr Frankenstein crap where Vogel manipulates Dexter into doing his bidding. For someone so smart, Dexter can be pretty stupid sometimes if he let's Vogel brainwash him to become her hitman.

I'm watching and hoping for a happy ending, that of course will not come. If this early season has done anything it's made me more invested in Dex and Deb, probably to my detriment. I hope the good Dr Vogel wants to help Deb. I like the angle, I just don't know how they're going to make this train wreck satisfying.

I feel like this episode was a bit underwhelming. I do wonder if Quinn will just drop what he "knows" or will he pick it up down the road.

I feel like they're on the verge of going back down that road with Quinn and Dexter. They've done a good job since last year of bringing up things from past seasons.

Regarding the finale of the show, the IGN review brought up a line that I think foreshadows it.

it was when Dr Vogel and Dexter are driving to stop Deb from confessing. She says something like "Deb has sacrificed everything for you but you haven't done the same"

Not a bad episode but I am really getting sick of Deb. I guess some people think she's doing a good acting job but her constant snivelling and whining is getting tiresome. I think it's time to put her 6 feet under. Are we really gonna miss her at this point, her character is pretty much played out and there's nowhere left to go with her. I still think that Vogel is the serial killer (I hope I'm wrong), they threw in that little curve ball with her getting that message before she received the package at the door so i hope they don't do that dual personality thing where she sent herself the message.

Anybody smirk that Dexter knew exactly who that guy was at the restaurant (how would he even know his name) and knew exactly when and where he would be at dinner at the exact same time as him and Deb. Dexter takes multitasking to a whole new level.

By turning Deb into a depressed drunk having a breakdown, they've provided a source of conflict for Dexter, but essentially removed the only other character on the show that's even remotely interesting. The rest of the supporting cast is useless.

Now that my Showtime situation has been resolved I just watched the first episode,..

I can already tell that Deb is going to annoy me all season...other wise I definitely enjoyed it...will have to watch 2-3 tonight...

I think they removed the doctor as being the killer with her pulling the knife out after she got that text. Which I'm glad.

As for the rest of the show the situation between Dexter and Deb is what's keeping me tuned in. I feel pretty bad for her. I think the only out for her is to die.

I agree. There are too many stories going on and it feels like not all of them need to be told. I feel like we didn't need a new bad guy this season and Quinn's stuff isn't that interesting. I liked the last part. It was pretty tense when

Deb was in the car with Dexter. It just felt like Deb was going to do something given she's experiencing what her dad did. It was pretty tense.

Wow, complete WTF ending there. Maybe I should have seen it coming, but I didn't at all.

As for how this season has gone so far, 4 episodes in, I personally thought it would be moving at a much more intense pace since it is the final season. Instead it's really been the opposite. I can't say I'm disappointed with that just yet though since I don't think there's been a bad episode so far.

A couple things that are bothering me though....

- I feel like they're giving us the unsurprising Season 6 villain reveal. To me it's still looking like all signs point to Dr. Vogel as The Brain Surgeon. There obviously has to be a bigger purpose for her and there is a shadiness to her and her backstory.

One thing I do think is possible with her is that she's somehow involved with Hannah, because we're still waiting on her return.

- I don't like that they're introducing multiple new characters in the final season.

Aside from that, I like where we've been taken with the Dexter/Deb relationship and with both their characters individually.

Looking forward to next week's episode. I just hope the pace starts to pick up more considering we're down to 8 episodes now.
