Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise the role of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, which he also played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
There's been a 3-minute screen test and an 8-minute test, neither of which have been released to the public. However, the few select people that have seen it have absolutely loved it, saying that Reynolds does an amazing Deadpool with the script written with a focus on him.
There's a script, director, producer, cast, etc.
The only thing that is keeping the project from going forward is FOX Studio's reluctance to put out an R-rated Marvel movie, which this title is going to be as it apparently follows the Deadpool comics closely, including language and violence.
