Even if this movie is somehow a bomb there's do denying that it'll quickly become a cult favorite for years to come. I just hope that people who are used to the somewhat cookie cutter formula for superhero films don't freak out in a negative way about Deadpool.

I would say Fox getting their heads out of their asses and making a real damn Deadpool movie instead of allowing us to go to the grave with that fraud of a Deadpool in Origins to be our only sight of him in a movie has gone more right.

If you watch their ComicCon panel (which is hilarious, btw) they talk about how they brought this R-rated superhero movie to Fox, and Fox made them change it to PG or PG-13, and eventually they caved and let them make it R.

At least the suits saw the error of their ways with that. More often than not the suits win that power struggle. I'm hoping like heck that Deadpool is really successful. I'd like to see a handful of R rated superhero movies.

I think it will be successful. The marketing for this movie is great. And I don't think the R rating will hurt it that much. Yes it won't do as great as others because of it but it still will be successful.
