        Re: Podcasts

My Pocketcasts crashed and I didn't back up my podcast list, so I lost them all. There was a podcast I listened to that talks about ghost encounters and other super natural things, I believe it's a radio show they just save for people to download via podcast.

I thought I posted about it in here or someone posted about it, but through a quick look I didn't see it mentioned so I must have found it on another site.

Anyone have any idea of what I am talking about?

            Re: Podcasts

I recently came across two podcasts that are great. Saw a thread on NeoGAF.

            Serial
            Genre: Murder Mystery
            Start from: Beginning
Serial is a new podcast from the creators of This American Life, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Serial unfolds one story - a true story - over the course of a whole season. The show follows the plot and characters wherever they lead, through many surprising twists and turns. Sarah won't know what happens at the end of the story until she gets there, not long before you get there with her. Each week she'll bring you the latest chapter, so it's important to listen in, starting with Episode 1. New episodes are released on Thursday mornings. Serial, like This American Life, is a production of WBEZ Chicago
            We're Alive
            Genre: Zombie fiction
            Start from: Beginning

For Army Reserve Soldier Michael Cross, the world as he knew it ended in an instant. One minute, he’s in college, and in the next, rioters are roaming the highway around him, breaking into cars, and literally tearing people apart. This is the day the dead walk. This is the world of We’re Alive.

We’re Alive features chapters packing performances and sound effects that rival movies and prove that modern audio drama is undead and well. Join our survivors as they band together, struggle to fortify a safe haven known as the Tower, and discovers that zombies are far from the worst thing in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles where the rules of human decency no longer apply.

Little food. Little water. Little hope. Who is lucky enough to say “We’re Alive?”

I just listened to the first episode of this podcast and it's immediately been favorited. I will definitely catch up and follow this one to the end. It's got a very strong narrative and i'm very interesting to see where it all leads.

AVRANT. A podcast dedicated to home theater and news in audio and video. The podcast is now 2hrs long where they answer listener HT and A/V questions. It has rebounded nicely after the format change and 2 month hiatus (and new co-host) Records on Tuesday nights (usually uploaded by Wednesday)

                HTGUYS.
Probably 1 of the longest running podcast on HT, AV and home automation. Most of the episodes run about an hour. Uploaded on Fridays

I really miss HD NATION. Always looked forward to it on Friday after work.

Glad you enjoyed it. I've only listened to the first two, but it's so good.

                    Re: Podcasts

I stumbled upon the Serial podcast on the ThisAmericanLife page a few weeks ago and immediately got hooked. I just wish there was more of an archive or I started later so I could binge listen to it, haha.

                    Here's what's in my rotation:

                    Grantland NFL Podcast
                    BS Report
                    Jalen & Jacoby
                    Serial Podcast
The Talking Dead podcast (not to be confused with the post TWD recap show)
                    StuffYouShouldKnow
SolidVerbal (Reverb line always cracks me up)

That being said, anybody have any recommendations for a podcast or radioshow about current events?

I also feel like I need to add a technology podcast and with college hoops on the horizon, a college basketball podcast if anybody has any recommendations for those.

I used to have TBGWT in my rotation but their shows are just too long. Back when I listened they routinely ran over 2 hours.

Good looks on TBGWT. I'm dying listening to them break down TWD. Trying not to laugh out loud at work.

I have a lot of quiet time at work so I like to listen to something to keep my brain in gear, so the length is fine. Helps pass the time.

The episode reviews of The Walking Dead #DeyWalking and Game of Thrones #DemThrones are hilarious.
