To be honest with you if a movie like Battleship can have fans than I don't see how this movie can't garner a following. 90% of what Hollywood trots out is derivative as hell.

Loved the 2001 music in that trailer. One of the few great trailers of recent memory IMO.

People love unrealistic movies (Batman and Superman and Spiderman) and re-treads of stories that have been told over and over and over (Batman and Superman and Spiderman). Godzilla is no different and the fact that this looks actually really intriguing will get butts in seats.

Being a huge G-fan, I've been orgasming since this came out. Hopefully this will make us forget that piece of crap 'Fakezilla' Sony released in 1998. From everything I've read, this is closer to the Japanese version, which is what G-fans like me want.

Having freelanced for apparel/accessory companies with the Godzilla license, I've seen what it looks like. I would've made the plates and certain facial features closer to Toho's 'G', but you cats won't be disappointed. He ain't green, that's for sure.

Wish they used his roar from 1954's 'Gojira'. That was badass.

My most anticipated movie of 2014...CANNOT WAIT.

So glad they're making this a serious and as realistic as you can be Godzilla flick given the source material...the scale and scope looks incredible too.

They got the color right, and I love the gills. This craps on that disaster from TriStar. Hey Devlin & Emmerich - this is what your monster should have been, not some stupid iguana.

As I posted before, I would have kept the ears, made the eyes white, the teeth bigger and the plates more like the 1954 Toho G, but I guess they wanted a more 'realistic' look.

If there was ever a movie tailor made for 3D, this is it. If they do as good a job as was done on Pacific Rim this will be epic.
