Came across this godzilla figure gives us an idea what he'll look like.

Growing up I loved Godzilla, watched the cartoons all the movies and had this

I had that toy as a kid as well. Also watched the cartoons and films. Goodtimes.

I played with that as a kid. About 20ish years ago, always had battles between him and Spiderman. Spiderman always won.....didnt sound as stupid when I was thinking about it....lol.

During the early 1970s, I had a glow in the dark Godzilla kit. I forgot the company that produced it, but they kits for the most famous movie monsters.

During the early 1970s, I had a glow in the dark Godzilla kit. I forgot the company that produced it, but they kits for the most famous movie monsters.

Aurora made the classic movie monster models. They were awesome.

And cool that we get Aaron Johnson and Ken Watanabe. I didn't know who was in this film until now, really. You always forget that within chaos and destruction, there still always needs to be a main character with a purpose of some kind.

Makes sense to me, I can't see how the Big G could go from Tokyo all the way to the East Coast of the US.

Great poster though, I'd love to hang that somewhere in my house.

Oh it makes sense to me as well. I just assumed he only invaded Tokyo / the film was going to take place in Tokyo.

Not a big enough audience if the movie is subtitled to make back all of the money I assume they spent making this movie.

I never said it need to be subtitled. After all, F&F: Tokyo Drift and Pacific Rim weren't subtitled.

I just figured the story could have taken place there, because I thought that's all Godzilla attacked. Never saw or heard about any filming in SF in the past twelve months, btw. It will be interesting to see what areas they use around there.

That's part of why I brought it up.

The other part is the fact that the trailer seems like they want to make it a "serious" Godzilla movie. To do that, in Toyko, having every single main character magically speak English just doesn't work. It takes away from the realism factor - and when there's a gigantic monster attacking a city, you need what realism you can get.
