True Maj!! I'm not saying I want them to focus a sole episode around them doing there 9-5's but these shows have basically ignored the question of how these guys keep the lights on and keep a roof over there heads. I have not been a big fan of Supergirl since Mon El's return other than that Reign beat down. That's another topic..

It doesn't need to revolve around it, but could still have some impact on things. The running joke on the flash(no lunch intended) has been how Star labs is even still a thing. The city let's a lab that ruined the city and whose boss turned out to be a killer, still go on? And who pays their bills, and how do Cisco and Caitlin get paid, or even Harry?

And for me, supergirl has been good this year minus the legion story and amount of maggie/ruby on it. Reign has easily been best villain of the series.

Hard to fit regular occupations in having all these superheroes at your disposal. Winn was relocated from Catco's CPU guy to the DEO/Superhero base, Iris goes from reporting to a Team Flash member. How much of Jimmy the boss did you see versus the Guardian? There are simply too many moving parts to do a little bit of everything.

Iris is OK. I don't really care to see her as a reporter detached from the team. At least she got to use a weapon this last episode.

They could still use work to help the team and do other things. Catco will never be same without Cat, but at least with Lena there they could have more of her scenes over there with Kara, since they both actually work there. Ccpd isn't used on flash as much either anymore, which has made Joes character take a hit since that was a big part of his stuff. Last year was nice having Julian and Barry stuff at Ccpd, but since then they've almost ditched it.

Man they do that you'll start hearing her say she isnt getting paid as much as Grant aka Barry and we don't want that lol.

What do the actors and pay have to do with this?

They really need to consider getting Iris back at the newspaper doing her own thing. She really has no identity outside of being Barry's girl. I think everyone else is bringing something else to the table. With her news angle she could use her investigative skills to help the team in other ways. I don't blame her..I blame the writers. I know she became more a part of the team after Barry's time in the speed force but I don't think it's been working. Show was good though this week.

I wish Savitar would have sliced that bitch up! How do you go from waitressing at Jitters and journalist work to becoming The Flash version of Felicity Smoak? Can't stand her!

If they decide to reduce her role in the middle of the whole #metoo movement then you know nothing good will come out of it.

I think Iris is too emotionally connected to Joe for the show to do anything drastic with her. Is she that unpopular outside of this forum?

If they decide to reduce her role in the middle of the whole #metoo movement then you know nothing good will come out of it.

I'm pretty sure the MeToo movement is mainly about sexual assault.

And giving her character a different job isn't reducing her role.

...and sexual assault. I think 23 was just trying to loosely tie any dissing of women to that movement.

Given the CW's recent problems with Kreisberg I'm sure they would be ultrasensitive to things like this surfacing again, but I don't see it applying to Iris getting a diminished role or even getting fired unless someone groped her a few times before she got canned.

What I will say about the pay is that I don't believe episode by episode role makes a difference. If one of main characters is on screen for 3 minutes or 20 minutes, they'll get paid the same. They all have contracts afterall.

There's nothing wrong with Barrys actor getting paid more than Iris' actor because Barry is THE star of the show. Similar to how I'm sure Supergirls actor gets paid more than all others on her show, because she is the star over there. If Iris was getting paid less than Cisco, Joe, Wells, Wally, Ralph, then you could look at it as a problem, but none of that info is available to people so no reason to be pointing fingers.

But in general, I think we're getting completely off topic now in talking about the show and should go back to taking about show related things.

Jaybee hit it.... pretty much some have used the MOMENT to cry about equal pay from their male counterparts as well.

Gender/sexual discrimination...

Im not saying it would be the case, but it wouldn't be a good look to reduce her role after giving her a bigger role with all of this stuff going on.

Not saying that its a given, but it has been happening and could be a factor.

Cecile will be used to take down Devoe. Maybe also to get Barry out/cleared.

Looks like Barry will have to battle to escape first.

Good episode tonight again. Wonder if this was their plan all along or if they just saw fan reaction and changed things up. Ditched Dominic as DeVoe and moved onto the lucky meta (who is played by someone well known to anyone who watched YTV in Canada in the 00s). Like her playing Devoe instead. Being able to play that clumsy character, then the meta abusing their powers, then seeming like she's going back to being good, before turning into evil Devoe, she's done good job.

I think my theory on how Devoe gets defeated might actually happen. Spent alot of time this episode building tension between the Devoes.

And that was an interesting way to get Barry out of prison. The whole court stuff is just weird, guess it's fitting to have it all end with Devoe/Ralph just coming in there being like "I'm not dead" and it just wraps up like that lol.

I kept thinking of your theory as I watched this episode. Yeah, I definitely think that's where they're going.

Getting Barry out of prison that way...not a huge fan. While it was a cool shock moment...think of it in terms of plausibility. How could Ralph keep that up when he couldn't pretend to be Wolff for even a day? That bothered me. It felt rushed and a little anticlimactic.

I really really hope the climax to this season is amazing because I am not seeing it at all...it feels like a Picasso portrait to me.

Getting Barry out of prison that way...not a huge fan. While it was a cool shock moment...think of it in terms of plausibility. How could Ralph keep that up when he couldn't pretend to be Wolff for even a day? That bothered me. It felt rushed and a little anticlimactic.

Because he learned from past mistakes, and also got a pep take from killer frost which lead to Ralph coming up with this idea.

I don't see Ralph as a long term character (no pun intended), either he dies a hero or joins the legends.
