I didn't think the whole Lysa thing was predictable cause well Starks always die.

When I see a stark on screen I assume they will be dead momentarily. Ive been conditioned this way. I honestly dont take any of them seriously at this point. Their scenes come up and all I think is "irrelevant".Comment

That's an interesting perspective. I've always viewed Game of Thrones, the TV series as basically the Starks story. There are other subplots, but I always thought it was a story about the Starks survival. I am sure the books are different, but I though the TV series was slanted that way.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
SpoilerSandor hasn't been confirmed dead in the books and personally I don't believe he's dead. Just because the dude in the books (can't remember who exactly, Lem?) was running around with his Hound's Helm doesn't mean he took it off Sandor's dead body. I'm not sure what they'll do with him while Arya is off in Braavos, he might just have to disappear for Season 5.
Re: Sansa/Littlefinger - their story was accelerated so much that the show has essentially caught up to their plot line in the books. I'm guessing we'll get maybe 1 or 2 more scenes from those two in the final three episodes. It'll be very interesting to see if the TV guys start making up their own story for them or keep them out of Season 5 too.
The final three episodes should be so great...
Mega book spoilers
Spoiler
I'm guessing we finish out with:
- Ep 8: The Red Vipers death (this one is obvious)
- Ep 9: Tywin's death
- Ep 10: LSH's debut as the final scene of the seasonLast edited by ehh; 05-19-2014, 11:50 AM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

I can only handle so much of Arya and Two Face road tripping across the country before I just give up lol. All of them are in similar "when will this **** end already?" storylines besides maybe Sansa (big maybe btw).Last edited by kingkilla56; 05-19-2014, 11:42 AM.Comment

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
I would say the show is very much into the Starks since all of them get major burn besides Bran. But as the episodes pass, and the seasons go on, I cant help but realize how ****ty that family is at being relevant these days. Im talking in the grand scheme here btw.

In a way it's similar to The Wire with each season changing its main focus but still having overlapping characters. The detectives are always there in each season but the story is about Baltimore just like the Starks are always there but it's a story about the "Known World" (Westeros, Essos, etc).
Semi-spoilers, not really though for anyone who's watched the show, but to be safe...
SpoilerThe story has the potential to (and I think it will) circle back to the Starks being the great family of the North, ruling Winterfell and their Lord being Warden of the North. The final book might be similar to the first book in terms of it being Stark-centric. However, so much stuff obviously happens in the middle. They've basically been a side-story since the Red Wedding because their House is in ruins but that can change since all of Ned/Cat's children are alive with the exception of Robb.
However, I don't think the Starks' revival will be the final 'big finish' of ASOIAF. I think that will be the fate of King's Landing, whether it be House Targaryen's revival or another.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
As soon as it was made known that Cersei was having Gregor Clegane as her champion, it was obvious who would become Tyrion's champion. Oberyn is quickly becoming a favorite character for me, but it still seems too good to be true that this all works out in Tyrion's favor.
Sandor is another one who's grown to be one of my favorites, obviously Arya has always been as well. I imagine things are about to blow up with them, what's her name and Pod, and whoever else at the Vale.
I know some people around here like Baelish, and he's definitely one of the best at playing the game, one of the most relevant characters right now, but I just can't like the guy.

I still say, book and show, little finger is the most dangerous man in the realm. Followed by Varys. Remember Littlefinger also runs Harrenhal as well as pretty much running the Vale now.
