I hope not, she is one of my favorite characters. Her progression from S1 to now is pretty amazing. I don't know if we'll ever see her back in the group, but I definitely think we'll see her again. I'm just hoping that it's not with the Governor or Zombified.

I thought that this entire episode was solid. It was refreshing to get a whole episode outside of the prison. The Rick and Carol scenes were all great and between that and Darryl's group there was plenty of action. I'm very interested in the fallout from this. Obviously Darryl and Ty are going to be upset (for completely different reasons). No telling how the group will look when this all shakes out. Carol's gone, Darryl/Ty are at odds with Rick, Glenn and possibly Hershel are sick... Man, this show is awesome!

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

I thought it was a pretty good episode. It wasn't very action packed or fast, but it developed a lot of characters.

This episode proved that Darryl is no longer that tough guy Darryl that we saw in Seasons 1-3. Maybe the death of his brother has made him realize that the people that he's with now, is his family and he treats them that way. His interaction with Medic Bob was great. It showed that one day he can easily become a leader and people will follow.

As much as Tyrese was really annoying in this episode and Michone has been annoying all series long, they worked well together. Seems like Michone will be the one to calm the raging giant and maybe use that to his benefit. Michone opened up as well, so hopefully she becomes less annoying.

As for Carol and Rick, that was great. I really liked Carol, and was sad that she had to leave, but I hope that means that she finds someone else, maybe the boy that she helped with his popped shoulder. But how ironic was it that Carol was the one that brought up that Rick was a great leader and that he should return to that role. Only to have Rick make the call that Carol needs to leave the group. I actually thought Carol may do something to retaliate, but glad they both parted ways peacefully.

I also don't think Darryl will be too heartbroken that Carol left. Depending on what Rick tells the group, I can see Darryl understanding. Especially if Rick tells the truth that it was Carol that killed the 2. I think it may actually make the bond stronger between the 2 as hopefully Rick becomes his oldself and leads the group again.

Can anyone else see Carol pop up on the spin-off there working on? I could. The medic needs to go away.

I thought about that, as well. I hope they keep the two shows completely separate and explore a different area and different aspect of the outbreak.

The real reason Rick was waiting for the boy to come back was because he wanted his watch back.

Another great episode. Shocked that Rick sent Carol on her way. Maybe he steps up and becomes the leader he is meant to be.

And loved Chris Jericho on Talking Dead last night, especially after the disaster last week that was Marilyn Manson. Especially liked how the host kept alluding to that.

That bottle of booze was so freaking big that the dude couldnt throw in a couple medicines in there with it? That was weak guyz.

Oh and lol at Carol when she said "it was a good watch". She was so trolling Rick. I swear I saw her smirk after she said it.

Is it possible they are setting Carol up to star in the spinoff they are making?

EDIT: Crap I didn't notice that jmillhimes beat me to it.

Yeah that was weird. It's not like he spent the entire time there looking for the bottle. He walked in and it was laying right there and he picked it up immediately. Then he went and helped Michone pick out the medicine but didn't feel like putting any of it his bag?

I agree on the Daryl/Rick/Carol angle. I think the focus on the jade rock and Daryl's reaction to the bottle of booze was hinting at how Daryl will react after Rick breaks the news. Don't attach Carol to a spinoff just yet. I still think she is going to end up being the season's biggest threat, be it solo or within another group. I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring her and the Governor together, It will make for an interesting story but they could break her down out there on her own making her realize how isolated she is and then loop back in her susceptibility to abusive and controlling men that was slapped in the viewer's face this past episode and combine that with her ruthlessness to create a very powerful ally for the Governor.

I think he'll lie to the public, but he'll tell the council the truth.

For some reason I can't see Carol siding with the Governor. Especially siding with the governor to go up against Rick and his group. Carol didn't have bad feelings leaving. She didn't want to leave, but she understood that the choices she made had consequences and now she has to face them. I feel like Carol will become a loner like Michone was when she was first discovered. They have been building Carol's character this season to become a very strong willed woman, and someone that's not "afraid" so I can see her fending off by herself. I think her backstory of being with an abusive husband and always being the follower, will translate into her becoming a very fearless leader.

I kinda hope Carol becomes the head honcho of another group and shows up in the future as a threat to whatever Rick is doing. Leading to her showing Rick zero love and sympathy.

Either that or Daryl discovers her dead carcass somewhere down the line and loses his **** on Rick.

That's only happen if Rick and co. become "bad."

Sucks for Carol, but Rick made good points as to why it would be better for her to disappear (for now? permanently?). Carol was trying to do the right thing, which is understandable, but the better thing to do was discuss it with their council. Then again, we're talking in hindsight since her plan clearly didn't stop the sickness from spreading.

Hope she shows up again in the future. Out of the original cast of women, she's the only one to emerge and become a) level-headed/rational, b) a real asset and c) not be written like a total fool and be considered a bitch.

Probably ended up as food. Wouldn't really think of him as someone who'll show up in the future.

That's what I was thinking. I think they were only shown to portray that Rick is finally getting his trust back in strangers and that he's slowly taking charge of making decisions.

The death of the girl shows that some decisions, no matter how sound they may be, can be disastrous.
