That's because Shane deferred to Rick.

Now Shane was a good character. And Carol had her Shane moments. Especially with the obvious right things to do were looked down upon and potrayed to be villainous

I think thats because Rick was naturally Shane's superior, as Rick was the Sheriff over Shane in the regular world right? Kinda weak but I can see how it went down. Plus Shane became kinda weak to Rick as he had the whole secret of smashing his wife and potentially impregnating her. He probably subconsciously didnt want to ruffle Rick's feathers anymore than necessary, thus letting Rick naturally become leader.

Anyway, Shane was a psychopath as he proved numerous times outside of making hard decisions. He was unnecessarily murdering people for his own sake and became a paranoid schizophrenic.

Boy, they weren't kidding when they said they were going to re-emphasize the walkers this season.

This episode has been downright frightening at times.

Is it me, or is this show getting worst and worst by each episode? my goodness, I can't even bare to watch it anymore. Last season was actually very interesting and full if conflict.

This season, they talked about getting back to "Walkers" and the focus being about the survival of the group, only to be slapped in the face with a disease.

I feel like i'm only watching it to stay current, but it doesn't even draw my attention anymore. What happened? What are the screen writers doing?

Different strokes, I guess. I hated last season, and have thoroughly enjoyed this one so far.

Yeah, this season has been excellent. Not sure how anyone interested in the show in the first place could think otherwise.

It's about to go down now.

Did you miss the last 30 minutes of tonight's episode or something? That was the most intense it has been in a long, long time.

Additionally, the conflict this season has been within the group. Did you miss everything that happened with Carol? Because there was plenty of conflict there and plenty more to come when Daryl and Terese find out.

Personally, I'm already growing a little tired of the sickness myself....but with Daryl and company coming back with the meds, then that storyline should be coming to a close.

I wasn't a big fan of how they reintroduced the Governor. I would have preferred the shock of him to popping back up mid-episode rather than a tease. But like I said with the sickness likely being over, then it only makes sense the the Governor come back now. Plus, it's a perfect time too; especially since there's so much CONFLICT within the group right now.
