Re: Arrow (Season 2)
SpoilerMy guess is that he never makes it to full on Grundy mode in Arrow, but rather they save that to branch into the Flash spinoff. They have said repeatedly they do not want supernatural in the Arrow and I can't think of a realistic way for Cryus to become Grundy. It's going to be strange enough them introducing the Flash. I would imagine they are going to go full blown super powered in that spinoff. I mean they could probably get away with remotely realistic versions of Captain Cold, Mirror Master and Weather Wizard but I can't see them doing the Flash without Grodd.
With Waller and ARGUS being introduced it seems like they are going to set the shows up as polar opposites with cross over potential with Arrow/ARGUS representing the non-superpowered and the Flash/Justice League going full blown superhero with possible Wonder Woman/Steve Trevor connections between the two worlds.
The one thing I find very interesting is how quickly they are launching into some of these story lines that provide perfect cross over points for Amell with DC's full length feature film plans. The domain names Warner Brother just purchased strongly hint that Darkseid could be the main villain and possibly pair it with the Blackest Night storyline and both of those open the door for Arrow and Lantern to make their way into the movie. I think Amell could more than hold his own with Afleck and Cavill. This would give DC a direct answer to the Avengers/Agents of Shield pairing for Marvel.Comment

SpoilerI agree for the most part, I don't think we'll see too much craziness in Arrow.
I'm skeptical on if we'll see DC cross over between the two screens. It seems like a great idea, but one that would probably be incredibly hard to pull off. Although I do hope to see Amell on the big screen in a DC movie, he plays the part extremely well and I think they'd be able to do him more justice then Marvel did with Hawkeye. What is interesting though is I just read something that DC kinda tells them what DC characters they can use from year to year, etc. and there have been rumors going around that Nightwing could not only appear in this show but in the upcoming movie as well.Last edited by Chrisksaint; 11-25-2013, 05:57 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Arrow (Season 2)
Good episode with one big disappointment.
Spoiler
Cyrus Gold is now some kind of Bane character? That's the first character I really haven't been happy with their take on the character and there are so many other things they could have done with Cyrus Gold rather than make him a Bane clone. I guess they didn't want another rich intelligent villain. I was skeptical when they introduced Gold as what looked like a street thug and am even more disappointed in how they chose to spin his character.
Outside of that it was a pretty good setup episode for next week when it looks like most of the action takes place. Looks like a heavy dose of Deathstroke and Brother Blood. Hopefully Merlyn is gone for a while. At least until late into the second half of the season. I'm just not a fan of his character
Will be interesting to see Barry Allen get his powers and how they treat it for one episode. I thought they would end the episode with the Flash's powers reveal but in the show it's the night before the particle accelerator reveal and I am guessing that when it turns on is the moment that is going to create his powers. So Queen isn't taking on Blood that night so it at least has to be the night after the accelerator is started.
Lots of Flash puns throughout the episode but the writers were pure genius with the scene of him rearranging the chemicals on the shelves and making a big deal about how dangerous it was I was laughing hysterically at the nod and how they chose to include it.
Good not great episode I thought. Still really looking forward to next week.

Pretty good episode. Can't wait til the next...
SpoilerI like how they kind of pushed Mer. to the side. What did you guys think of Barry? Do you think he could hold a show by himself?Comment

Re: Arrow (Season 2)
Cant beleive how much of this show I have watched in the last 3 weeks.
All of season 1 and now caught up to this week.
As cheesy as it can be, and tv style cgi I still find myself watching.
And yes I like Barry so farCharger Fan Born and Raised!

Re: Arrow (Season 2)
Wow wow wow. What an episode. One of if not the best hour that I have seen on television.
Spoiler
Really like the angle of rapidly developing Roy into Speedy or whatever they are going to call him. The Flash origin was fantastic as well. I thought when they had him going crazy about the dangerous storing of chemicals at Queen's hideout they were just nodding to the original Flash origin story since we kind of all assumed it was linked to the particle accelerator. Really cool to see them stick to the real origin story with a nice twist.
Nice twist with Cyrus to bring him back "from he dead" disfigured and with the Solomon Grundy moniker.
But the development of Deathstroke has been phenomenal. Also seems like they teased a new story for the loss of his eye with the explosion and then snapped back to the story from the comic this week. Manu did a great job with the mercenary role but looks like he will come into his own as the full blown Deathstroke. His monologue at the end was menacing as hell and was absolutely perfect. January 15th. Can't get here quick enough.

Yeah another great episode, there is a lot going on but it 's flowing nicely and doesn't seem like anything is being rushed and just thrown out there...one more thing Felicity...damn-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: Arrow (Season 2)
SpoilerWell it certainly helps that in the comics, Red Arrow's alter ego is Roy Harper lol.
That may have been my favorite episode of the entire series. Everything is starting to play out.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 12-13-2013, 01:40 AM.Boston Red Sox

Best show on TV IMO. Everything is playing out so nicely, and nothing is really conflicting or feeling like "too much".Comment

Re: Arrow (Season 2)
SpoilerI think they might start him out as Arsenal to link in with the whole Brother Blood/Deathstroke storyline. Something along the lines of Arsenal encounters Deathstroke trying to protect Oliver and Deathstroke doesn't kill him because he has had to suffer the pain of Mirakuru rather than the gunshot from the comics.
I think they are hinting he will become the Red Arrow (isn't the messenger Arrow Queen has him use red and not green) but he can't become Red Arrow right away. He doesn't know how to shoot. His character has to go somewhere before taking on the Red Arrow mantle. Arsenal would let him work his way up to being archery based but still be believable that he is capable of helping Queen.Last edited by Dogslax41; 12-13-2013, 11:17 AM.Comment
