Survivor Blood vs Water

New season of Survivor starts Wednesday September 18th at 8pmEST(meaning for those who are BB fans...the show premieres BEFORE BB finale,unlike past years where CBS ended BB right before they started Survivor(likely just incase of a BB overrun,since BB is live)

Season contains a player from 1st ever season of Survivor(Gervase), 2 past winners(Tina and Aras) along with one of Survivors biggest fan faves(Rupert). Them,along with other returning players, will be in the game that also contains someone close to them(husband,wife,boyfriend,niece ect.)

Lots of HUGE news about the season,including Survivor somewhat breaking their 39 day rule.

Spoilers on the twists and stuff of the season(it doesn't spoil who gets eliminated,but it spoils some HUGE THINGS about the season(one of them relates to eliminations))

Season lasts 39.5 days(they start the season several hours before Day 1,so technically they're on the island for several hours on "Day 0"

Returning players on 1 tribe. Their family/friends will be on other tribe

Redemption Island is back(Each tribe vote someone out to start the game,both go to Redemption Island and battle it out,the game continues on like the normal redemption island season from that point onwards,except this time around,it's a 3 person duel)

REALLY confusing scenario....If someone gets voted off,their partner can replace them on Redemption Island,and the person voted off,gets back into the game(and joins the tribe their family/friend was on).

Based on how things sound,seems like you can continue to switch as often as you want...So if Person A is on Redemption,Person B can switch with them for a week(and Person A joins Person Bs tribe), then next Redemption Challenge,Person B can switch with person A for the challenge(and Person B goes back to their tribe)

Aras(Exile Island winner) and his brother Vytas

Tyson(Tocantins,Heroes vs Villains) and his GF Rachel

Rupert(Pearl Island,All Stars,Heroes vs Villains) and his wife Laura

Candice(Cook Islands,Heroes vs Villains) and her husband John

Monica(One World) and her husband Brad(former Vikings,Bucs,Bears DT)

Colton(One World) and his fiance Caleb

Kat(One World) and her boyfriend Hayden(Big Brother 12 Winner)

Laura(Samoa) and her daughter Ciera

Gervase(Borneo) and his niece Marissa

Tina(Australian Outback winner,also appeared on All Stars) and her daughter Katie

So 20 players!Should be a fun season hopefully. Haven't been this excited to see a Survivor season since probably Heroes vs Villains.

My early faves:
Tyson,Rupert,Candice,Gervase,Hayden

Rupert and Hayden as final 2 would be awesome. If Survivor does mess with things..I really hope they put things in Ruperts fave to win,like they did for Rob(though in Robs case,he was just put on a season with the biggest star studded sheep ever)

This is the least excited I've ever been for a season of Survivor. The cast is terrible and the twists sound even worse.

I just hope Rupert goes home soon. I really hate that guy.

I didn't read the spoilers in the OP, so I'm not sure if it's going to be this way or not. However, I hope that the family members/significant others are separated from the beginning. That way they are able to build their own relationship's and if they both make it to the merge then who's alliance do they go with? Plus, when the real life partner see's that there "other half" has gone home watching their reactions should be awesome. I mean, does any of us not want to see Rupert fall to pieces when his ole lady get's her torch snuffed? That should hopefully cause a lot of drama, flip flopping and revenge which will make the season more enjoyable.

I do agree that this returning cast is rather weak. I'm hoping for a good season though.

^That's probably the only reason Rupert came back in the 1st place,cause Survivor promised him his wife would be with him too.

lol,it would be funny to see what Rupert does when he finds out that they voted his wife out. It'd be like when his tribe lost the fishing gear(since Rupert was the main fisher on his tribe) and he went crazy.

Good news!

Jeff Probst on twitter said that they'll be casting again real soon. So that obviously means season 29 will be happening(and it'll be some(if not all) new players!) and even better..also means season 30 happening too!

If Survivor does end, it should be at a season that makes sense. Like 30,40,50 ect. Ending at something random like season 32....doesn't make much sense,especially since Survivor will only ever end if the producers want it to.

I'm pretty excited, but I've only been watching Survivor the last couple years so I don't know most of those people anyway. As I'm typing this it just occurred to me I totally missed a marathon on TVGN that I was gonna watch yesterday, damnit. Oh sweet it's on again right now!
