Calling it how I see it, the show went from its best episode so far (3rd) to its worst (4th) overall it seemed like HBO was like we need 8 episodes not 7 for this season in turn we get this episode. Time filler episode

Im from Beaumont, and they sure as hell didnt paint my home town in the best light.

Meth lab, drug dealers, gangs and a shootout in the neighborhood.

Did Beaumont get paid to use its name?

That end scene felt like a videogame, I'm not sure if that's good or bad, it just felt like a videogame sequence.

I really enjoyed the episode too.

I liked the last seen, but I really had to wonder how Woody knew where they were going. He sees them get on a boat but how did he know where to be after that and then he's in position to have the car ready in 90 seconds. I agree it seemed like a boss scene from a video game, Uncharted: True Detective.

Looks like they have some serious firepower from here on out if they need it. I am sure we'll see some intense action and explosions before this is all over.

He sees them get on a boat but how did he know where to be after that and then he's in position to have the car ready in 90 seconds. I agree it seemed like a boss scene from a video game, Uncharted: True Detective.

Looks like they have some serious firepower from here on out if they need it. I am sure we'll see some intense action and explosions before this is all over.

I suppose it could just be an educated guess. He saw which direction they were headed on the river, and probably knows where the notable meth neighborhoods are, so he headed down there, anticipating that's where Cohle would end up. At least that's what I figured.

Pretty good guess though considering he had to be to a precise location in 90 seconds. Can't believe they just tossed Hart out of the club instead of roughing him up.

I liked the episode when I watched it, but thinking about how everything went down, it might be a little cheezy. I mean to nab the guy who is going to lead them to the guy, they basically made a 1 in a million gamble with no one even knowing where they were or their intentions. Hart in all likelihood should have been bloody and beaten behind the biker bar and Cohle very well could have been left for dead in the projects trying to gun his way out like a mix between Judgment Night, the Warriors, and Escape from New York.

I will suspend my disbelief because last night was an action-packed episode and I enjoyed it more than the walking dead.

I think Seymour was just amazed by your take on this episode. I thought this was a slam dunk "best episode of the season". It was a filler episode.....filled with excitement!!
