Looks like it was thankfully just a false alarm

<s>@</s>JeffProbst <small class="time"> </small> <s>#</s>survivor When I said 2 more seasons, I meant we'll be shooting 2 more this summer! Not "only" 2 more. U keep watching we keep making 'em!

As for todays episode....If Tony doesn't win this season, something is wrong! But looking at Morgan and Sarahs expression at certain cast members, looks like if Tony is in, he's gonna lose, but TASHA will win if she's in the finals?!? Kass is gonna get an insanely brutal final tribal if she has to face the jury.

Biggest shock of episode wasn't who went home(though it was a shock), it's the fact that WOO changed?!? They never even hinted at this for a split second in the episode and suddenly it happened.

Speaking of Woo....previews for next episode:

LJ was a terrible player. I pretty much saw this exact scenario playing out the moment he used his idol on Tony. In my post I even said Tony would betray him like it was nothing.

      From the double idol episode.
LJ took the L tonight. Playing his idol more or less to win the trust of his alliance and more specifically Tony, which will be worthless. Tony is cool but anyone is willing to cut anyone else when its necessary.
LJ you could have been a contender if you werent so trusting of a snake.

The first time they showed LJ without wearing his bandana during last night's episode I was like, "Who the hell is that?" He always has it on.

Re: Survivor: Cagayan — Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty

At this point I think it would behoove Spencer to align a quick move against Tony and/or Kass. Bring the girl Jefra and either woo or shemale in along with Tasha and Jeremiah to give the numbers. I wouldn't go after woo from what I've seen in the edits because it seems he is tight with tony and would jeopardize the move. Jefra and shemale on the other hand are at the bottom and would jump ship given Tony's betrayal and not being tight with Kass.

Here's the reason. You have an idol and you have to keep it and not play it. Tony and Kass have shown they're going to take advantage by any means to get further and keeping them you only prolong the inevitable back stab. Especially from Spencers position Tony is only a risk now and of no use, Kass is a risk and no use - He doesn't have to do anything he and his alliance are tight and getting two members from a cracked alliance should be relatively straight forward given how things went down. Plus you keep the idol in case it gets down to 6 and the shemale and jefra get pulled back to whoever is remaining out of woo/tony/kass because in fact that will happen when you've then become 4-5 instead of possible 1-2-3 with the other person remaining with no one. Just my analysis.

I think Tony ****ed himself. He didnt convince his tribe to vote LJ out, he convinced the outside group and he flipped. He pretty much killed his alliance there. But he did bluff with his "special tricks" bag. Maybe that will scare people off for a while. Id be shocked if Tony got to the final. Hes biting off alot and only Woo is his ride or die after that move; Spencer and Jeremiah aren't aligned with Tony for keeps. It was a one off. If Tony survives next week he is a pro.

If he thought he had a target on his back before, he aint seen nothing yet. He is the biggest fish in the pond and everyone knows it now lol. Getting rid of LJ this quickly was a bad move on his part, that was his only buffer target to himself and he used it prematurely imo.

The special idol is still out there. They confirmed in the recap at start of the episode that Spencer just found a regular idol and special one is still out there. I wouldn't be surprised if the reward challenge this time around actually does provide a clue for the idol.

But I don't get why Tony would even want to flip to the other alliance at all. Why does this happen every season!? Flipping solves absolutely NOTHING! Stick to your alliance and have enough confidence in your game that once the game is down to just your alliance of 5-6, you can get the numbers(or at least win immunity)

Tony with the "bag of tricks" was funny. Reminded me of an old WWE move, like Jake the Snake or Brutus the Barber Beefcake bring their bag and setting it down outside the ring.

                  Survivor does have snakes lol.

But speaking of tricks...Has anyone actually successfully made people believe they had an idol when they didn't? Sure, people always get paranoid being like "what if ___ or __ has an idol", but it's never cause that person tried making people believe they do.

If they can't show visual proof they lose all credibility. A random sack can only buy you so much time.

Tony is so paranoid. He's a good player, but I think he'll be voted out sooner rather than later.

Woo needs to start working on his game more and stop riding Tony's coattail. I have a feeling that Tony will backstab him next. Maybe plant the seed that Woo flipped on LJ with his alliance.

I thought Tony already talked to some of his alliance about wanting LJ out.

Personally, I don't see how Tony wins. He's doing too much. It's usually someone with a combination of the game playing skills while also staying under the radar a bit. He hasn't been off the radar since they got off the boat. Last tribal he talked about being in construction again, when at least some of them already know he's a cop... and he had the "bag of tricks" which will be clear that it's another lie very soon. He's painting so many targets on his back he'll need to go on a challenge winning spree to even make it to a jury vote.

Now that they finally revealed it,I can talk about the special idol!

Idol with special powers is here! I heard about it before season began that they were bringing back the old school idol where it can be played after the vote and the idol was introduced at the merge, which is why I thought Spencers clue led him to that idol. I'm actually surprised Tony never went looking for the idol that much during the others reward, though maybe he did since I doubt he just ran into the back with 7 other people at camp and nobody got suspicious. That moment probably happened before the immunity challenge but they wanted to build suspense for later.

I think they changed up the powers though, cause you can play the idol after the vote, but only for yourself. I believe in the very early season of the idol, you could play it for anyone after the vote was read(I remember during those days, after someone was voted out,Jeff would ask if they had the idol, and everytime they made it seem like someone was gonna pull it out,but in reality they were just grabbing their bags to leave)

I think we might be getting a final 2 this season! It's either 2 or 3 weeks left of the season before the finale. If it's just 2,then it's a final 3,but if it's 3 weeks left before finale,it's a final 2! Been waiting years for Survivor to do a final 2 again! It makes the last tribal before the jury vote so much more interesting because that final immunity challenge is insanely important since that's the 1 person who decides who else is in the final 2 with them.

I find the hidden immunity idols to be cheap and bs now. I think Russell finding the first one with no clue may have been legit thus made for a whole new angle, but are we to seriously believe that season after season these idols are being found in the middle of the jungle through legitimacy? Hell, one season Boston Rob found one talking to camera man, it was on top of a fork in the tree for goodness sake.

To me, it really makes the game seem like a scripted show because on top of finding a hidden idol the idols are always found by a major player, whether hated or loved, when they need it most.

Maybe it's all editing and I'm completely off base, but even if editing at least edit a little better that I can believe the idol finds without a clue are legit whether that be more clips of people looking or people talking about how much they've been looking - cause you gotta believe if Tony was searching long and hard for the thing and not just that one time, then he'd prolly say something about it in his one on ones.

I don't know if it's scripted, but I absolutely hate that (hyperbole alert) the immunity idols are given out like candy. The game is supposed to be "outwit, outplay, outlast" but when they're going to take a poop in the woods and they trip over an idol, then there's just too damn many. (/hyperbole)

I wish that there was 2-3 at the beginning (depending on how many tribes they start with), then once there played they're gone for good. With the way it is now, there's no sense in sitting on them too long because they know as soon as one's played, it will be back out there to find and play again. It totally ruins the true meaning of the game.

They edit the show according to how the season plays out. They already know who won the season and everything so they can edit the show according to that(recent seasons especially they've done that. Look at people like Cochran,Kim,Boston Rob among others, getting the "winners edit"). Unlike a show such as Big Brother where they might focus so much on a few people, but then if those people get voted out, the show seems so much weaker afterwards.

The idol stuff isn't scripted, but I think they just hide them in real obvious locations. Russells main goal of being on Survivor was showing people how easy it is to play the game if you actually know alot about the game. He found the idol without a clue because he knew they always hid the idol in the obvious locations around the island, and after he did that, everyone started picking up on it.

And when did Boston Rob get help from the cameraman about where the idol was? I doubt they ever helped him during the game, but the casting for the actual season they intentionally got the types of people who Russell and Rob are good at manipulating.
