I could have been, but normally when an item is out of stock, it will give you the option of notifying you when it comes back in stock. So technically, if I had the option of buying the item, the item at the time was in stock. And the book was $6. He was offering me a $5 credit. I'm not going to go crazy over something that's $11. It's the principal of the situation.
So who's at fault? Did I mention that I did not get a single email or notification that the item is out of stock? The entire 2 weeks since I've bought the book, it only stated waiting to ship. Never stated the item was out of stock so they were waiting for more shipment.
It wasn't until I had to chat with them until they told me.
Like I said.. if the item was out of stock originally, or they notified me that the item became out of stock, even if it was a week or 2 later.. I would have been fine with it. I would have cancelled the item, went to my Barnes and Noble and bought the book.
Unfortunately Amazon becomes like many big corporations. They were once great, but greed caves in and they start going down the drain. Read reviews about diapers or toilet paper. It will tell you how different Amazon is compared to 2 years ago.
