Re: Amazon Prime price going up... $20- $40
I think im going to go with the fire stick for the simple reason that I have Amazon Prime.
I wanted the chrome cast for the browser use on the tv but it probably doesn't matter really with phones and tablets I have.
I hate that it needs to be plugged in the wall but besides that, I think by me not really using pandora or whatever makes it easier.
My appletv can get stuff too and doesn't have prime on it so that's the main factor. I let Netflix go some time after losing my last job so for now I'll roll with prime, so i hope the non pay content is half as good.Comment

I never used it that much, and it wasn't even plugged up and it won't even power up so i'm cool on Roku. The Apple Tv replaces it just fine.
I know it has one... is that for power?Comment

Prime Day is July 15th. Mark your calendars as it's supposed to be a crazy deal day on Amazon for Prime Members only.
Amazon is turning 20 next week, and to celebrate the online retail site is launching Prime Day, a global shopping extravaganza for Prime members.Comment

I know it's all about getting more people signed up on Prime, but I wish they would give long time Prime members early access to the deals. Like Prime members do for normal lightning deals. That would turn off new Prime members though so I can see why they wouldn't do that.Comment

Have they said yet if it's going to be the traditional lightning deals where you can see what is going on sale a few hours in advance?Comment

Re: Amazon Prime price going up... $20- $40
When I looked at it, there wasn't really any difference. They are normal prices, not the sale prices you can get at your local grocery store, Walmart, and Sam's/Costco are some times cheaper with bulk pricing. The shipping also is expensive at $5.99 per box, even for prime members unless you spend $50 I think.
Add in tax for most states, I'd rather just go pick it up and look at the sale ad. I don't buy enough stuff at one time to fill a box, so its not worth it to me.Comment
