Clark without glasses is like Superman without an S on his chest.

I don't think they were actually filming anything there, so I'm sure we can rest easy he'll wear glasses. Or who knows, maybe he's disguising himself with contacts these days.

It's not a picture of him doing a scene, so I don't think there's anything to worry about. Besides, Man of Steel ended with him putting the glasses on.

The glasses thing was always kind of meh anyways, but yeah it would be even worse of a disguise if he just didn't do anything lol.

Clark's personality is more of a disguise than anything, really. Hopefully they nail that down in this one.

Oh I certainly agree as they nailed that for sure in Smallville, would just be weird to disguise yourself with a little change in looks.

Well the glasses are part of that Clark's persona. To not include them would just be lazy. I liked what Smallville did in developing the real Clark so it would be nice to see more of that, too.

I think people are reacting more to the idea that an offset photo of the actor somehow suggests that Clark won't have glasses. That's quite the jump.

The Three Rumored Villians (aside from Luthor)

Victor Zsasz

A serial killer Batman fights early on in Gotham City. He usually kills with just a knife and carves a tally mark somewhere on himself for every victim. A real nasty piece of work.

Zsasz made a brief appearance in Batman Begins.

Morgan Edge

In the movie, Edge is a total slimeball and a public relations exec for Lexcorp. Basically, he’s Lex Luthor’s mouth piece. We meet Edge early on when he goes toe to toe with Lois Lane in a television talk show. In the movie’s backstory, Edge and Luthor were members of the most notorious gangs ever to come out of Hob’s Bay.

Latino Review speculates that this is the role that the recently cast Scoot McNairy will be playing. Fun fact: Morgan Edge has been Andrew Asberry’s pick for a villain since Batman v Superman was announced last summer.

David Cain

One of the world’s deadliest assassins, 50s, who meets with Luthor’s bodyguard Mercy Graves to set up an assassination.

Really digging in and evolving the character — both as Clark and as Superman — is a challenge, Snyder says, but there's also "the fun of trying to figure out what to put in front of him that's difficult."

Cavill is definitely more comfortable in the role the second time around, says the director.

"We've both created this guy and we can push him around a little bit," he says. "The more time I spend with Henry, the more he's Superman to me."

The debuting heroes Superman meets will affect his perspective on Earth and on the ones he loves, and Snyder feels his convictions will be drawn into question as well.

Instead of using several movies to define Affleck's Batman, Snyder felt the character's 75-year mythology is so deep in culture now that they can just jump to an older, road-weary take on the Dark Knight. Plus, he says, "it's cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys."

The director can't say exactly how the relationship between the two superheroes evolves, "but suffice it to say there is a 'v' in between their names" in the movie title, Snyder says. He explains that having the "v" instead of "vs." is a way "to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way."

I saw the Superman picture on Facebook, and it said "first look at Henry Cavill as Superman".

Let me just say that, even though it's really dumb and not a big deal, that gets on my nerves. Man of Steel was our first look at Henry Cavill as Superman.
