It's funny how all of those early reviews from screenings are "standing ovations" and "overwhelmingly positive." Can never truly believe those reviews since the critics are either hand-picked reviewers or regular fanboys who are giddy just to be in the building.

Not saying I won't enjoy the movie on Thursday night, but I admit it's a bummer when the majority of critics are disappointed with this film for the same reasons. I remember how much more excited I was when The Dark Knight received overwhelming praise not just for Ledger's performance, but the plot itself.

Feels like I wasted the past two years waiting for this film to be released....

I've always ignored critics. The only reason I even check Rotten Tomatoes is to just to see what the average moviegoer thinks, and even then if I want to go see it I'll decide for myself

Me too, I remember The Crow was not reviewed very well in early showings and it's my all time favorite movie and a legend so who cares what people say, it is only your own opinion that matters!!

RT is not usually off though or at least I find they usually agree with my own feeling than the movie critic circle, unless they have changed over the last few years I stopped paying attention to them altogether.

I can understand if a movie like this didn't live up to the hype though. Not that they are in direct competition but the avengers movie was great at its release and well received. They need to do the same here if they plan on making a successful justice league movie later on.

Of course, its the first of its kind. I do think the momentum it important though.

They did well with Flash and Green Arrow, bats constantly changes, and not sure why but the jury is still out on superman in many peopels eyes.

Wonder woman... man they need to start with somebody else, period lol

I guess Green Lantern is okay as well

Don't know about the rest yet

I've seen several "nerd" sites saying it's the best superhero movie in years so I take that over critic reviews any day

Probably depends on the type of "nerd" site. Those slick "geek news" sites (of which there are a billion), which are really just pop news sites in disguise, probably would love it simply because it exists, whereas the more community based forum sites would rate it based on whether it's actually a good movie or not. It's like comparing sports video game reviews from IGN to here.
