I was surprised (and pleased) they let
    Spoiler
especially after hearing the lady in the video ("The movie is dark. I read comic books") talk about how dark the movie is. Good performance by Diane Ladd.

I'll be seeing it tomorrow but I'm the same I don't go into a movie to critique it to death. I'm always open to different ideas they may do with the characters & the stories they are trying to tell. If I love it great if not then oh well maybe next time. I never say a person's right or wrong with there opinion because it's just one's opinion that some may share & some will not. I loved Man of Steel but I know alot disliked it but I don't try to sway them.

Well, I did not much like that movie.

This sure as hell won't break $2 billion. It's a shame DC is exploding onto the scene with a whimper.

Keep in mind, I'm very open to any ideas they do with any character, and I was fine with all of the characters... I just didn't think it was a very good or lively film.

As it stands, I actually like Man of Steel more, and I left that film the last time being very underwhelmed (mostly because I don't really much like Superman, it seems).

And despite all the negative reviews, I know for a fact that I'm going to enjoy the **** out of this movie.
Hit the nail on the head for me. The negative reviews haven't really hampered my expectations at all. I know exactly what kind of movie I'll be getting into here, and for me personally, that's enough. It may be overlong, there may be things that could have done better, but I loved Man of Steel, and from what I've seen of this one, it seems to be in the same style.

I've never been the most critical filmgoer. I wind up finding some good in basically every movie I see regardless of criticisms. For me, seeing a preview and reading a synopsis is usually enough to decide that I'll enjoy a movie, and rarely have I let myself down as far as that goes. If a movie doesn't really appeal to me initially, I usually won't bother seeing it unless I hear crazy word of mouth.

I'll definitely be seeing this at some point this weekend, and I'll be sure to enjoy the hell out of it.

Enjoyed the movie overall.... Ben did a great job as Bruce\Batman...this version of Batman may be amongst my on screen favorite from his personality to his fighting style... Really, most of the individual performances were good to me....WW was good enough to pique my interest in a solo movie...where I was a bit skeptical before. One character I was not a fan of was Luthor, I was open to the different take on his character originally....but it just didn't hit the mark for me... I think the review I most agree with was IGN's who wasn't trying to be to snarky or trendy....Movie definitely had pacing issues, and even with its length suffered from some disjointedness - but it was a good movie and competently made....just not the epic I thought it would be.

Alright, disclaimer: Im a pretty big comic book fan, Superman is one of my favorite things in life, Man of Steel is my least favorite movie ever, and I thought this movie was going to suck going into it, I don't know how long this will run but it will almost definitely be rambling:

Overall it's like a 2/5 to me. They did my boy Superman a little more justice, but this movie shouldn't have been made. It was like 3 differed t movies edited together at some points. There's a quarter of a great movie, half of a bad one, and another quarter of a movie completely unrelated to the other two in here.

                  Thanks for the review.
I haven't seen it yet, but have read other reviews by regular movie goers and it seems your thoughts are on par with the majority.

I'm a huge Superman slappy (LOVED Man of Steel!) but I'm in no rush to see this film based on what you've written.
Another reason I'm in no hurry is because I know Superman is probably going to get his butt handed to him by Batman.
It's always like that due to Batman being the Fonze and Superman being Richie Cunningham.
And without attempting to start a war here, I think Batman fans would protest and cause a massive stink if Superman were to mop the floor with Bats.

My sons really want to see this film and I'm still interested in seeing it, but it's not "MUST SEE" material for me - which is kind of nuts when I think about what a big Superman fan I am and how impossible it seems to make a move with Batman, Superman, WW, Aquaman, etc and receive a very low RT rating.

Saw BVS last night and it was just meh to me. Soo much dead screen time. They could've cut an 1hr and a 1/2 out of the movie and I would've went home happier.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice

As a Superman fan, and having already said I love how Superman was portrayed, I really feel like this should've been just MoS2. It could've been great IMO. They took the thing I hated about MoS (incessant destruction of Metropolis), flipped it with having Superman deemed a god above the law perfectly, but BvS isn't really about that to me. Or I guess it is but poorly. They could've taken Lex (who I didn't even realize I didn't mention) and really made him a great villain. Few people hated the idea of Lex Zuckerberg as much as I did watching the trailers, but honestly having seen the full performance there were some things done well. I still think he was too unhinged for me and too kooky, but the motivation behind his hate for Superman wasn't explained well. Funnily enough, they almost made Batman who Lex should've been, showing the destruction and the direct result it had on him. They could've made a TDK level movie IMO if you get rid of everyone except Superman and Lex, focus on Superman proving himself to the government and then replace Bat with Lex, showing how Superman's arrival really shook him and caused him to want to stand for humanity. Maybe throw in Lex getting help from Brainiac to save humanity instead of the Doomsday angle...i dunno. I wonder the box office and how this affects the franchise. Definitely a missed opportunity IMO, in the rush to establish the universe they took parts of several movies and just kinda jammed them together.

Replacing Batman with Lex is a great idea and would have removed a lot of needless complication from the movie. Could do his power armor and everything off they wanted (there's a lex toy for this movie wearing armor).

I suspect the rated R footage is Barbara Gordon and Death in the Family stuff...

I liked the opening credits sequence, not nearly as much as Watchmen's with Bob Dylan taking over the background of course, but the simplistic font type and certain flashback sequences taking place, it seemed just right.

Count me in as one of the ones who doesn't read into reviews and critics at all. I couldn't care less really. If I want to watch something I will and if I don't I won't. I like to keep things simple. An example would be the new Mad Max. It has phenomenal reviews and RT scores but it just doesn't sound interesting to me so I probably won't ever watch it. I just like to watch things that appeal to me. But I do like talking about movies with others after just to get different views and ideas I may have missed. People constantly complaining gets old but we don't have much of that here on OS which is refreshing.
