Amazing episode, had to sleep on it to let it all soak in.

Love the backtrack in time to explain the circumstances of all the shows characters. It really explains a lot and helps me to develop my own understanding of what is happening (or has happened) here.

Best episode so far, followed by the episode where the man of religion loses his church.

I'm so into this show, it provokes thought and evokes raw emotion whenever I watch it.

Interesting to me that the lady who was seemingly one of the "leaders" of the smoking people who killed herself was once a client of the cops wife (apparently a therapist). More interesting that she somehow felt that something terrible was going to happen.

I thought that part was corny, when the leader of the silent group said she thought the world was ending.

Overall a cool episode though, really creepy in a way, especially with how happy the daughter was and her braces

          Pretty interesting finale.

I'm thinking that fiasco will snap Kevin's wife out of the GR. Gotta think the whole cult will be in shambles. Particularly if the dolls in the houses was a nation-wide "event".

Man we were making so much progress. Gave an episode that provided clarity. Then gave a finale that felt so random. Ah oh well.

not only that but we lost 1 (maybe 2) characters that have more "wisdom"

And it wasn't clear what Kevin's wish was! Even more was that his gf's wish was kind of taken away with the whole dolls thing.

I think the show HAS to let us in on Kevin's wish AT LEAST and let us know of any greater knowledge the GR may have at least in it's upper echelon.

Yea it seemed obvious to me as well, to have his family back together again.

When his son ran into his wife I knew that had to be it. I thought he and his daughter (and the dog) were gonna walk into the son & wife towards the end.

                    Re: The Leftovers (HBO)

I loved every minute of the show. Real curious how they will proceed in season 2 since this season covered everything in the book.

I hope that Holy Wayne has some flashback scenes, his "wisdom" or whatever you want to call it really intrigues me. On one hand he seems to be the real deal, and on the other he is a total fraud. I hope we don't see the last of him.

I also hope season 2 explains a lot more about what is going on with Kevin. He has this weird thing going on with animals, he could also be going crazy like his dad. I think he's obviously important to whatever the hell is going on in the leftovers and I can't wait to see where they take it.

                      Re: The Leftovers (HBO)

Glad to see the GR get dismantled. Surprised it didn't happen before this.

So Kevin gets his family back, but I wouldn't touch the ex-wife with a 10 foot pole. But looks like she gets her baby after all.

Wonder what will become of Nora, she's one of my favorite characters, but I can't see how she can stick around with the Brillo Head Smokey Remnant wife back in the picture.

The whole dream sequence seemed like a waste of time. The dismantling of the remnant was pretty good. But its hard to get my arms around the remnant. They were nationwide, so if they pulled this on a grand scale, then the country would be in disaster mode.

but they didn't which is why I wondered about his wish specifically. Maybe it was just his daughter back? or kids? Or he said he was a bad person, maybe he wished to be a 'good' person. Or maybe he wished to stop going crazy! I don't see how he and his wife get back together - it doesn't even seem like he wants her back, nor does she want him back - plus he experienced more happiness with Nora I thought. I think the family back together wish is possible, but just the least compelling or believable (including the wife).

Also it was interesting that Nora's wish was to move on and be happy (imo) which happened and worked for her, but the GR leaving the dolls around seemed to take that wish away and bring her back to where she was making the wishes and granted wishes not quite as ground-breaking and powerful as I thought.

Good point about the poster above me, the GR did that on a national scale it would be a state of emergency, violence and fires never seen in American history.

Someone also mentioned that the wife is getting her baby back? where did you come to that conclusion - if you were talking about her unborn...

So wait, we've decided that Wayne grants wishes? Nothing about the Wayne story makes sense, and that frustrates me!

You have to remember the whole premise of the story is that millions of people vanished into thin air and they already stated you will get no explanation for this. So at this point, everything is fair game. If people can disappear while you are holding their hand then why wouldn't there be a wish granting genie and why would it have to make sense.

Feel free to create one. I watch, but don't have much to say so don't feel it makes sense for me to create it.
