Sad to see him go. He was great in so many capacities, but I really loved him in Good Will Hunting. He crushed that role.

Re: Robin Williams dead at 63
So sad. One of the only times I have outright cried for the loss of a celebrity. Robin you will be missed and I hope that somehow , someway you are now at peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Re: Robin Williams dead at 63
My mom was even affected and she doesn't care for too many American actors. She really cherished the memories of me and my siblings watching, Hook, Aladdin and Mrs Doubtfire over and over on tape.
I've always had bad relationship with my dad and always wished he was like Robin Williams in the movies. He always loved kids so much in his roles and wished he was my dad growing up.
Never been affected like this over a celebrity death.

My grandma took the news hard. She doesn't speak or understand English too well but she absolutely loved and adored Robin Williams. His movies went beyond language for my grandma and she loved and understood him in his films. Her favorite was Mrs Doubtfire.
His role in Aladdin made my childhood. Ive seen that movie more than any in my life. I havent seen it since I was maybe 12, and I'd estimate I saw it at least 40 times. He was that good.

Really sucks to hear this. I haven't seen all his biggest roles and all, just a couple like Hook,Flubber,Mrs.Doubtfire among others but was still great. I even spent like 20 minutes randomly watching some stand up routine featuring him on Comedy channel a month or two back.
Always sucks to hear that some famous person you know ends up dying. 2014 for me has probably been the biggest in terms of celebrities who've died. So many have died who were in shows/movies I liked.Comment

Re: Robin Williams dead at 63
Man, this one really sucks. Too many movies to list, the man was a legend. He seemed like a big kid, and one of my all time favorite comedic actors. He could also do drama with movies like One Hour Photo. Some of my favorite scenes from him come from Good Morning Vietnam, where he'd go from hyper to a completely down, serious tone. Depression is a very scary thing.Last edited by LambertandHam; 08-11-2014, 10:45 PM.Comment

Like Pvarck said, hopefully this can bring much more attention to mental health disorders and it's affects. If the suicide of a man who spent his life bringing joy and happiness to others through comedy doesnt shake people, I'm not sure what will.
R.I.P Robin Williams, you will be missed.Comment

Robin Williams made the world a better place. I grew up watching his movies like so many others. Deeply saddened when anyone is lost to suicide, but especially when its a person who brought joy to so many others.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment
