Re: Survivor: San Juan del Sur (Blood vs Water 2)

This season has been somewhat entertaining, but damn it kind of sucks when there isn't really anyone to get behind and root for... hell, there isn't really a polarizing player to root against either.

I guess I'm hoping for Baylor or Natalie to win at this point. I thought Natalie was playing the best game, but keeping Keith was such a dumb move. She basically did all of that work in the last couple of challenges to gain Jon and Jacqueline's trust only to destroy that to save Keith's dumb***? I'm sure she wanted to keep him to beat Jon, but I don't think Jon has been a challenge monster or anything. Plus, Keith is just as good at most challenges and although he likely won't make it, but if he does make the Final 3 he'll have the votes to win.

Baylor hasn't really done anything game wise to really deserve to win, but she's more likable than Jon, Jacqueline or Missy to me, so I'm hoping for her by default. Which I'm sure means she will go home next

I know what you mean, it's been a good season but I don't really have anyone I'm pulling for. It's been that way the whole time. I guess I like Keith the best, but I think there's a pretty slim chance he wins. Of the girls, I like Jacqueline the best, but I do like Natalie better than I used to.

I love Keith, I think he's hilarious. I think for me, if either he or Nat wins, I'll be happy. If you would have asked me at the first of the game, i would have never expected to like Nat. But she's grown on me. Strong competitor, and is thinking somewhat of strategy. Jon and his girl haven't had to really play the game to get where they're at. I hope they can blindside him this next episode.

I like Keith because he says what he wants but not in a mean way. He's just a straight shooter but still respectful.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like Jon.

It's horrible what his dad is going through, but is it wrong for me to think that he might be making the story up?

I don't know.. to me, if your dad is dying of brain cancer, you wouldn't leave him for 40 days of what might be the last few months of his life to play a game. Especially if he said that they just started connecting the past few years.

It just seems like a lot of sob stories for him (first Jacqueline, now his dad)

Like Keith was saying a couple episodes ago, the timing was perfect for him to bring up that story when majority of the jury was already picked.

Also, does anyone understand when Jon told Nat he had the HII?

Didn't he and Keith play one the week before? Did Jon have 2?

Jon found another one when he went to exile in the first hour. He told Nat about it during hour #2 when they shared the bed for the reward. I'm not sure the Jacqueline story is made up. Unless he told that to the tribe and not just to the camera.

The stories are real, if they just mentioned it on the island and that's it, then maybe it's fake, but they were talking about it in pre-game interviews also ,something I seriously doubt they'd lie about in pre-game interviews.

New episode tonight! Final one before the season finale next Wednesday!

After tonights episode, we'll know if it's a final 2 or final 3. If 2 people go home in tonights episode,it'll be a final 2. If only 1 does,it'll be a final 3.

Looks like it'll be a final 3. Thought it might have been final 2 based on the episode preview I saw last week(making it seem like Missy would be gone,so I thought 2 would've been gone in 1 episode)

They finally got Jon out! Seems like the jury was real happy with this too. Though I really wonder why Jon didn't give Jac the idol. Next tribal is last time to play it, and that would've guaranteed her final 4.......so why didn't he just give her the idol on his way out?!?

I didn't think you were allowed to give the idol to someone after you were voted out

I'm sure you can if you want to, but who would? You never know if your closest ally just voted you out or something. Or just doing so might lead to a bigger target on that persons back. This time though, it'd be giving it to a loved one, something completely understandable.

Or simply just leave his bag at tribal and let her take it. Cause at least you know for sure you'll get your stuff back since it's a loved one and all who's taking care of your things on the island.

I'm just thinking from a rules standpoint, it wouldn't make sense to allow a player to give his idol to anyone after he was voted out. Rocker would've given it to his girl, Keith or Wes would've waited til after the vote and given the idol to whoever was left, and same for Jon/Jac. It's a strategy thing, if you choose to hang on to it and get voted out, tough ****, you gotta eat it now.

But that person has to actually be present at tribal for the transaction to occur. Which is why like I said, it won't happen on another season cause you'd hand it off to just some other person supposedly in your alliance, and it'd happen infront of everyone, which puts a big target on them. Loved ones there makes it a much diff situation.

Looking around on google, seems like people say it is allowed to happen. Mentioning Colton was actually asked if he wanted to give his idol away on his way out(when he was being evacuated). So I think contestants are free to give away an idol if they want to,even after being voted out,but it has to happen like right away.

Are we sure he had it on him? Could have been in her bag or back at camp. I didn't notice either way.

Don't think anyone has ever left the idol at camp. If you do get voted out with the idol,at least you get to keep it as a souvenir. Would suck if you get voted out with idol, and don't even have the idol to keep lol.

And he did say he wish he played the idol, so that sounds like he had it on him and all but just didn't play it.
