        Re: 2014 Black Friday

I use to manage at GS and my buddy is still there. Said there Black Friday Game sale isnt nearly as good as in the past because alot of titles that were scheduled for October release have been pushed into the new year so sales are down and so are margins so we wont be seeing the usualy B2G1F or alot of lowered prices on games. Hell, one store is selling Hello Kitty socks and Note pads.lol

Guys I have a question over tv's. Ive got a 6 year old 42" flat screen 1080 HD. I am taking my wife and mother to walmart on thanksgiving for some new TV's. Mom's picking up 50" and Im in market for a smart TV. I seen walmart has the 4k ultra hd on sale. IS the 4k a huge turnaround from 1080?

Idk I was in the market for a a new tv and decided pretty quickly that 4k was not a "must have" as of today. Seems like there won't even be any widely available 4k material available for awhile, and the difference in quality wasn't really worth the difference in price for me.

It might be different for your situation but I was content with holding off on 4k for a few years until more stuff was coming out in 4k at which point the price of the TV's will have dropped as well.

Looks like Amazon is gonna start some of their Black Friday deals tomorrow and it will last all the way through Black Friday.

It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

I'm always weary about pre-Black Friday deals. Everyone should check out http://camelcamelcamel.com/camelizer
It tracks the pricing history for Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy (there are two different associated sites for the latter). If you install the browser plugin you can pull charts up while browsing Amazon. You can also set price alerts.

Walmart is price matching some of the competitions BF prices a week earlier starting tomorrow. Several nice deals to be had.

Has there been a cheaper price for Madden advertised?

Wish I had gotten up earlier. I would have gone and checked out the 40" at Walmart (if they even have any), else not even bother going back at 8. Could use a cheap upgrade in the bedroom and the office.

Score the non-3D How to train your dragon Blu ray right now online for in store pickup.

Disclaimer: Not sure if orders will be fulfilled, though.

EDIT: Don't expect the online orders for the TV to be fulfilled, apparently the majority of the orders have been cancelled.

Those Element brand TV's that Walmart is discounting have terrible online reviews. Even at that price, I would stay away.

I bought an element TV and like it. It's nothing fancy and probably wouldn't be great for those people that care about tech specs but it's a nice HDTV for my bedroom and has given me ZERO problems in the last 3 years or so I've had it.

Blah all the video games are gone. I should have toughed it out a few more minutes last night. Where did y'all see How to Train Your Dragon 2 in 3D for $9.99? Looks like it's just the blu ray.

I just went to the Walmart by my job(Which happends to be the most ghetto Walmart ever but thats for another topic) and they sold out of the element tv's and some of the stupid *** employees were telling peple the 50 inch for 218 on BF is already on sale. Sure enough it was not. lol!! They didnt even know half the stuff that was on sale today. Luckily enough, got my How to train your dragon blu ray for little one and picked up some board games for her.
