Wasnt deadshot black in that animated dc movie that came out in the last couple years about the suicide squad and arkham asylum? I thought the movie was based whatever comic that was based on.

There was as animated movie released last year that featured the suicide squad but Deadshot was white.

And I think he was white in the Arkham games. But I have to go back and check.

I absolutely hate when they copletely change a characters race for noi reason other than to do it.

Imagine if they would make Black Panther White, Superman Black, etc.

Part of the reason I am most likely not watching the Fantastic Four remake.

Yeah because asinine posts like this add so much. Its lore and there for a reason. Its going to be talked about and rightfully so.

Is it really lore if its not a defining attribute of the character? Some characters' race certainly plays a part in their story and interactions, but its a wash for most I would think.

Yeah, and a large part of that reason was that many comic book characters (deadshot included) were made when something called "seperate but equal" was still commonplace in the United states.

I'm sorry, I just really don't see why a characters race matters when it literally has nothing to do with the characters backstory.
