    GhostBusters Reboot/Spin off

I just saw this on facebook. But there is going to be a reboot of the original Ghostbusters movie and it is going to be a female lead cast. What are your thoughts?

Actresses in negotiations for the leads are Kristen Wiig, Melissa, McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. Linked here.

Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are both terrible, if Bridesmaids is to be considered. Don't know who the other chicks are.

The other 2 chicks are from SNL. I actually do have an opinion on why they got their roles, but that would hearsay. I actually am a big fan of Wig and McCarthy. I'd watch this movie because I loved the other 2 movies. I didn't really like McCarthy in Identity Thief though. I did enjoy Wig and McCarthy in Bridesmaids. I was expecting an all chick flick version of The Hangover and that's what I got. Wig and McCarthy are funny, when you pair them together. I suspect we'll get the same reaction movie fans got, when Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd were paired together in the 1st movie. This movie should be a barrel of laughs, when it hits theaters in 2016. I guess its getting a PG-13 release, so I guess you can bring your teenagers to see this one. It should be a movie that's fun for both adults and teenagers. I expect a box office as big as the 1st one.

I'm sorry, guys. You can't make a movie about 4 paranormal investigators from New York without involving SNL actors, in some way. The 1st 2 movies had 2 former SNL cast members in it, so I doubt you can make one without including actors from New York. The casting of the 3 SNL cast members makes perfect sense to me.

Plus, McCarthy's last movie, Tammy, had Aykroyd in it. I guess that's a big clue as to how she landed this role. I'm just saying.

Please don't ruin this, Melissa McCarthy. I know you're going to try your hardest to, but please don't do it.

Depends on the material. McCarthy was actually quite good as the single mom in "St. Vincent". She didn't have to be trashy to be funny.

I don't watch SNL. Are Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones actually funny at all?

First GB was great, second one just ok.

This, will be a disaster of "Arthur" proportions.

Every time I try to turn on SNL these days I last about 2-3 minutes, so I'm not sure either.

That's like saying Tom Cruise sucks because of Knight and Day. The movie with him and Cameron Diaz. Everyone star's in a crappy movie once in a while. Or Mark Hamill is horrible because he was in Commander Hamilton.

I could see McCarthy in the Ackroyd type role

                  Color me skeptical on this.

But if it's not, expect Hollywood to keep with the "opposite sex" formula.

                    Possible movies to come:

                    *Theo and Louis
                    *Weekend at Bernadette's
                    *Little Orphan Andy

I haven't seen SNL in about a year, but Kate McKinnon is hilarious. She has great comedic timing, facial expressions and does amazing impressions like Ellen and I saw a pic of her as Justin Beiber but didn't catch the skit. She just goes all in when she performs so I'm happy she's starting to get roles in movies.

It will be directed by Paul Fieg who did Bridesmaids and The Heat so I think it will be pretty good, I really liked those two films and will get a feel what they are gonna do with the movie.

Also the writers are gonna be Dan Akroyd and one of the main writers for Parks and Rec. I'm betting it will be the comedy of the summer

Hopefully Melissa McCarthy is stuck in the Ghost Trap for the entire duration of the movie.

Wiig and McKinnon are pretty funny -- Leslie Jones? Ugh.

Oh so then Leslie Jones will truly be playing the part of Ernie Hudson then? Swell.

Looked up some stuff on McKinnon....she is pretty good.

Wiig is decent, McCarthy is a less-amusing Satan, and I don't know the other two. I just hope McCarthy doesn't ruin it with fat jokes. But she will.

Why couldn't they replace her with Tina Fey or Amy Poehler?
