Neil Casey landed the villain role for the movie.

Also Andy Garcia & Michael K. Williams added to the cast.

I like the new Ecto-1. You can't expect the gals to pick the exact same car and design as the original. It retains enough of the charm of the original while being its own thing.

Now if it was a more modern car than i'd have a freak out.

Pretty solid trailer and probably the only one i'm gonna see. I feel like I know the entire movie from that LOL.

I like Melissa McCarthy in her role and it's nice to see that the Winston analog looks to have a lot more presence then Ernie Hudson had in the original films.

So, we know there's an all female ghostbusters team and a city full of ghosts. How is that knowing the entire movie?

Looks to me like these ghosts take over people's bodies and such. There also seems like a near end/ending scene featuring dead presidents.

IMO this will not end well.

No interest in seeing it. Some things need to be left alone. Hollywood is reboot happy and many/most fail. Some actually are great idea's to reboot due to better tech, better acting (Mad Max Fury Road comes right to mind), and the movies ends up being re-imaged for the better.

This though? Total money grab. Looks like it will be utter crap.

Could be wrong though. We shall see.

Those elements were also part of the both the previous movies.

I never really understand using that phrase to describe movie trailers. *shrugs*

Anyway, I thought the trailer was OK. I think it did enough to keep people interested and those of us on the fence a slight nudge to see it. I'm hoping the next one will give a better idea for the vibe of the movie rather than going over all the franchise traditions.

I'm of two minds about it. On the one hand i'm hopeful because Aykroyd has had some input on getting the film made and the makers of this film are said to be big fans of the original. On the other hand, Aykroyd basically used this as jumping off point to spin off the Ghostbusters property into all kinds of directions so it does smell of "money grab" that way.

I really don't have a problem with it and feel the same way I do about this as I do about Star Wars coming back around.

If it brings back Real Ghostbusters in anyway I will be stoked. Or another game. The most recent Ghostbusters video game was underrated.

I never viewed The Ghostbusters are a real long term franchise. The second movie sucked and they had the cartoons to capitalize on the popularity for a brief moment. Other than that I view it as a cool but dated 80's movie that is a classic.

Hollywood has run out of idea's (they have for some time now actually) and this feels and smells like a retread.

Star Wars is a full blown saga. It's timeless. And they can keep that story going for as long as they want. It is a true franchise.

                            Ghostbusters?

Meh. I don't think so. And yeah the last video game was actually pretty cool.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I love the second Ghostbusters film even if its a bit more trite and head-scratching than the first.

A team of ghostbusters living in New York isn't enough for a franchise? I beg to differ.

I don't know what to think about the trailer. I watched it and at the beginning during the ghost puking thing I was thinking this sucks, but then it started looking better and I wanted to see it, but then by the end when the head was spinning I was back to thinking no thanks.
