It's no one's fault how I interpreted what you posted.

I have no problem with the all female crew—other than it being forced as the trendy form of positive PR pandering in Hollywood at this time.

More problematic to me is why the black character has to, once again, be the uneducated "street smart" one. Make Kristen Wiig that character and make Leslie Jones the particle physicist.
I'm not overwhelmed by the trailer either, but if the reviews are very good I'll see it.

I took this WAY farther then I should have. I apologize.

Gimmick or not how often do you get 4 female leads in one movie running around not involving singing or dancing?

It feels fresh to me as so few movies are cast this way.

If those are legit some of the funniest moments from the movie, it's going to be bad. It'll obviously make a ton of money because people are suckers for nostalgia and familiarity.

I think it will have to be really good to make some serious money, because of how good and popular the original was. If it pales by comparison that could be a problem.

Well, looks like the Ernie Hudson replacement is gonna be funnier....not that that was gonna be hard to top.

Not asking you in particular but in general, why the McCarthy hate? Looking at the trailer I think she'll be a positive in this movie. She's definitely more goofy/klutzy than Aykroyd was but it's not overbearing IMO.

Not a huge fan, but I did like her in Bridesmaids and Spy. Looks like she's lost a considerable amount of weight.

St. Vincent was the only movie I found her tolerable. Her whole fat and stupid shtick isn't funny at all.

I've never been a fan of the moron humor or physical comedy. Often times its more of a distraction and spectacle.

The possession clip in the trailer bottomed out for me when she turned her head around.
