I don't care for the lesbian storyline.

    Is this in the comics?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I don't think it is. The CW pretty much has this type of concept in a lot of their shows. I agree it doesn't seem to have much to do with the story. Seems like filler time.

That storyline isn't really interesting at all. They just keep dragging it on and forcing it onto the show in moments that aren't needed at all. Only way I could see it being useful to the shows storyline is if Maggie ends up dying or something.

But since it's the first season of the show on CW, I wonder if they follow the Flash/Arrow/Legends S1 trend of having one of the main characters(who's also best friends with another one of the main characters) killed off. I'm leaning towards Mon-El being the one to die, but Maggie could be a close 2nd in this. Though the Mon-El/Kara chemistry on the show has gotten better as the show has gone on.

I don't mind the lesbian angle, but the problem with any romance on any type of show is the fine balance between keeping the sexual tension going and keeping the couple actually together. Many times when two become a pair things become boring like in this last episode. Too many cutesy expressions and too much glowing Alex. That being said I like both characters and I like them together.

CW knows it's audience-it's younger, more liberal, and more inclusive.

Other than flash...all these fake romances have been fails.

It's something that doesn't need to be there and its a weak point in the CW superhero show plots that need to die.

Oliver-Felicity was a good one until S4 ruined it, and S5 just made their relationships worse.

Which means it was a fail because i distinctly remember people getting tired of it and how they made Felicitys character unlikeable.

The relationship angle is a matter of taste and opinion I suppose....moving on...

I cracked up when Mon-El takes off from work on his SECOND day.

Wonder why that alien on the red sun planet showed reverence for Mon-El and stopped him from being shot?

I think he is a prince. Plus he said his planet got all their slaves from there, so he may have been there before.

They have been hinting at it for awhile, but for now he is sticking to the story that he was a bodyguard or whatever and the prince put him in the pod.

I didn't realize that all four of the CW superhero shows were renewed for the 2017-2018 season.

This is a really great show and my two boys love it.

I have to ask though, I noticed that in S1, the show was more 'serious' or mainstream.
They've kind of taken a left and gone more comic-booky(?). Is that the reason Flockhart left the show?

No, Supergirl left Los Angeles to shoot in Vancouver, and LA LA Land is where Flockhart lives. She was supposed to be recurring but ten episodes in has her in only the second season premiere (I think).

I think last night was possibly the worst script in the series so far. The dialogue was so corny and forced. Hope the show hasn't peaked already.

                                I agree.

I think the shows best moments were at CatCo vs. the action scenes with Supergirl. Melissa Benoist is much more enjoyable in the awkward scenes at the office than at the DEO.

Side nite: I also feel like they should've spent more time in S1 with her learning her abilities or even flashbacks to when she did so that this season she is perfecting them.
