Which was a mistake imo, they killed off Maul way too early.

Here's the thing that didn't make sense to me though, Rey has Jedi blood in her, but she had literally no training, and she was able to defeat a sith trained in the dark arts. That made no sense to me, unless I'm missing something.

Both Anakin and Luke we're soundly defeated when they went at the sith alone, until they trained harder did they have the power to defeat them.

But Rey just whipped him, and even Fin put up a fight lol.

Kylo was injured by Chewie's bowcaster blast, so I think that would help explain it.

Yea, there's a couple theories, along with the fact he was still conflicted with his feelings for his father, and his constant battle against feeling the light side.

But, still you would expect someone who freaking froze a blaster-pistol shot in mid air, and mind reading ability to be able to defeat a scavenger soundly.

My only explanation is he never really wanted to kill her, he had multiple chances. And I guess that will be revealed later.

Rey also may have had training as a young child before she was left on Jakku, which would explain how she does the Jedi mind trick on Daniel Craig the Stormtrooper.

Just saw Rogue One. Just to sound not so hyperbolish... THIS IS JUST AS GOOD AS EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and Galaxies far away better than The Force Awakens. My god, I got goosebumps at every easter egg and the whole story in general. Emotional, fun, and genuinely, undeniably, STAR WARS.

It's amazing. Anyone who loves Star Wars will love it and anyone who isn't very familiar with Star Wars will want to watch all the other movies because of this.

Not really a spoiler but will spoiler anyway...

Yes you are missing something. First we don't know for sure that she hasn't had any training. With having a flash back of when she was a little girl we don't know all of what happened. Second with the fight at the end Kylo had just been shot by the crossbow thing and we saw threw out the movie how powerful that crossbow thing was. So Kylo was not 100% healthy and on top of that when he kills Hon we can see that it is not a easy thing for him to do and that it bothers him. So not only psychically was he not 100% but he was also not 100% mentally either. On top of that he was going easy on Ray trying to get her to train with him. Now if Ray beat him when he was 100% and not trying to toy with her then yeah we would have a big problem.

I have a few other things to add about the stromtrooper mind trick stuff.

                      1. She had heard of Jedi before having heard about Luke. Yes she thought he was a myth but she still had heard of him so I am sure that means she had heard about being able to mind control even if she wasn't 100% sure how to do it.

                      2. The flash back may have bought back some memory's we didn't see. This is the stupidest of the I have.

                      3. When KYLO kind napes her that is a example of having someone mind control that she experiences to see it is a real thing.

                      4. Last when Kylo tries to read her mind and she is able to read his mind she may have also been able to read his mind about mind control. She may have found out more then him just being afraid of not being has powerful has Vader.

I waited my whole life for one 15 second scene in a Star Wars anthology movie and it paid off. No one is allowed to touch Vader ever again. If this is the last I saw of him, I can remove the prequels from my memory and remember him the way it was meant to be. What. A. Legend.

Easily the best Vader scene in the entire franchise

Anyway, just got home from seeing Rogue One and thought it was fantastic. It introduced new characters with a good amount of call backs to the OT. It felt like the Star Wars movie I always wanted to see

                            1. Kylo Ren isn't a Sith and is only partially trained.
                            2. As many stated, he had been injured by Chewie's bowcaster, which as we've seen, packs quite a punch.
                            3. You might want to rewatch the fight with Finn. Kylo Ren toys with him until Finn gets one lucky, glancing blow in. Then Ren dispatches him easily within the next 5 seconds.

I liked it a lot. It starts off slow cause it's giving backstory to characters we've never known but man oh man does it pick up and end with a bang. May be a top 3 Star Wars movie imo

So so so so so so good!! I caught myself smiling and just in awe of how well this movie was done. For me, I can forget the Force Awakens; this is the movie we all deserved. Great pacing and everything. I just got back, and am trying to take it all in still. I can't wait to go again with my wife and 8yo son!
