Rami Malek is PERFECT for this role.

After only 2 episodes I'm going to say that this is the best show that USA has ever produced. IMO, no other show on the network has been more than just pretty good, but this show is phenomenal.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I'm still not sure if Mr. Robot is real or not. Things like the manifesto point towards real, while the scene on the boardwalk ends up giving me the impression he's not.

            Re: Mr Robot

I watched the first 2 eps online based on a recommendation and was really surprised when I found out this was a USA show. I've only watched maybe an episode or two of Suits and Burn Notice because I didn't think they were very good. But this is a quality show, like something that you'd think was on Showtime or HBO or AMC. I'm totally in for the rest of the season.

Seems like it might be like Breaking Bad where all the networks will be kicking themselves for passing on it.

Kind of early to be comparing it to Breaking Bad. I watched the first episode and I'm not there.

I kind of hope he's real. Elliot is messed up enough where I could live without him hallucinating all the time.

This show is odd. I accidentally caught fifteen minutes of it tonight after TE was on, and it looked interesting. Will someone catch me up with everything, and tell me what days it's on, as I'm not home to currently look it up myself.

I really don't want any fight club realization where the world around elliot is in his mind. Please hope they don't go that route....

It's so obvious, would they? My problem is even if they're all real, the series seems to be content with mystifying the viewer indefinitely, maybe until the end of what might be a good run.

Might not be for me if the star of the show is the imaginations of Elliot. Who am I kidding? Curiosity alone will have me watching to the end of the first season.

I was an early fan Of ER and always liked Gloria Reuben. I think she's great as the troubled, lonely therapist. I just hope she's a better shrink than Elliot gives her credit for.

EDIT: By the way, I've watched both episodes.

SLOW. The Swede guy Tyrell had the most notable scenes, but this was the worst of the first three episodes. (IMHO)

I'm beginning to think Mr Robot is real. It's not just him after all. He has his team so I figure it would be harder for Elliot to hallucinate the entire group.

Strange episode (03) and I could really do without the blatant sexual scenes. Really weird and ruining what has otherwise been good up to now.

My guess is that "Swede guy Tyrell's" hookup with the young man was strictly mission oriented. I don't think he has any gay leanings, he'll just do whatever it takes to get the job done. That and the fact he's deeply disturbed, as evidenced by his $300 beat down of a poor homeless man.

Despite the Swede being front and center this episode, and in some visually memorable scenes, he didn't advance his case as a compelling character.
